Fall Days Layout Corn Maze

This was a really quick and fun page to put together.  The flowers and title came from Miss Kate's Cuttables and other than that I just used coordinating papers.  I do love the movement of this page and it was fun to let the paper be it's own embellishment.  I have SO much paper that I need to do more layouts like this!  LOL.  Anyone else admit to being a paper hoarder?

12x12 Seasonal Grid Kit Fall

Ok....so I had a friend making these 12x12 grid kits from Mom and Me Scrapbooking   However the price of $25 plus the frame of $20 added up quickly as they had one for each month.  I thought they were so cute so I thought to myself, why don't I make something like that but with just paper and not wood pieces.  This is what I came up with and the bonus is, I didn't buy anything to make it.  It was created with my own stash and cut files I already had.  I insert this into a 12x12 shadow box frame and can change the seasons as I want and the bonus is, they all fit behind each other in the frame!  This is my "fall" version of my grid kit.  The files are Miss Kate's Cuttables and cricut cuts.  I think it turned out cute.  Can't wait to give a set to my secret sister!  What do you think?  Now on to make winter, spring, and summer.

Interchangeable Truck Banner

I LOVE how this turned out.  I made this interchangeable truck banner.  The pumpkins can be removed and a tree, shamrock, heart, Easter eggs etc. can be put into it.  That way it can be used year round if I want.  I can even add a cake or presents for everyone's birthdays.  Super cute and fun.  I did however, remove 2 of the trucks.  I thought it looked a little congested where it was hanging so I used 3 trucks instead of the 5 I originally started with but I didn't retake the photo.  Either way, I think you get the idea.  Now I have a couple extra trucks to put on a scrapbook page.  So much fun or maybe I will make one more and make one for a friend.  Either way, I love how it turned out.  Hope you do too.  Have a great day!  I am sharing it with the challenges below:

Fair Time Paper Piecings

This year we went to the fair.  I have the pictures developed and had a few minutes so I made these cute little files to go with those pictures.  Aren't they fun.  The titles I just made, the turtle is from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs, the bears are from Cuddly Cute Designs, the popcorn and cotton candy and are from Miss Kate's Cuttables, and I don't know who shared the cute little carmel apple.  (If it's yours, please let me know so I can give you credit!)  Anyway, it was fun to play with a few files today.  Love how they turned out!  Can't wait to put them on a page soon!

Nuts for Riding Layout

Recently, I found a new company that offers a daily freebie and her files are some of the cutest I've seen...  not to mention really affordable.  Since I had been downloading lots of her files, I decided to open one up and cut it to see how they do.  I love the way she arranges her files for cutting.  When I open a file, I often group my files to layer just like she does so it makes my computer time shorter and my cutting time faster!  I love that!  These little squirrel was a freebie from Miss Kate Cuttables and if you haven't been getting her daily freebie, then you are surely missing out!  Her files are cute, adorable, inexpensive, and cut really well.  That's a win, win, win in my book!

Indian Layout

Isn't this layout sweet.  This time of year, I'm especially thankful for my family and the opportunity I have to preserve our memories!  I used patterns from Treasure Box Designs and think it turned out so adorable.  I've had these pictures of my daughter dressed as Pocahontas at school and saw this Giving Thanks set and knew it would be perfect.  Plus I just went to a Rendezvous with my son and they had Indian dancers there as well.  I'll use the "boy" parts of this set for my son's pages.  I love how they turned out and the fringe on the Indian's dress is so sweet!  The fire actually came from her Camping Fun set and the basket is actually the back part of the hair stuffed with corn!  LOL  Cute basket huh!  Anyway, my pictures look adorable on these but I wanted to get it posted before I permanently attached them.  Anyway....super cute set as usual!   What a wonderful Thankgiving set and perfect way to save my memories of those most precious to me!

Turkey Card

I made these cute little turkeys out of paper from my stash (over a couple of years old) to give to my family, Grandmother's and sisters that I go Visiting Teaching too.  (In our church we are blessed to be given the opportunity each month to go visit with some sisters in our ward and to share a thought with them.  It's a wonderful opportunity to get to know each other and share our experiences.  :-)  Anyway, this month I also read an inspirational message by one of our church leaders called, "See others as they may become."  In the article, it said that every woman should be told she is beautiful, valued and worthwhile.  Then it went on to say, "We must develop the capacity to see men not as they are at the present but as they may become when they receive a testimony of the gospel of Christ."  I LOVED that message and so I made these little cards to let those that I love know how much they mean to me.  On the inside it says, "You are beautiful (or handsome), valued, and worthwhile.  I am thankful this holiday to be blessed with you ."  I want each of them to know that to me they are beautiful/handsome, valued and worthwhile and that because of each of them, I have been richly blessed.

Autumn Pumpkin Layout 2

Lasting Memories was having a Design Team lift off challenge.  I chose to "lift"  Kimberly C's layout.  Here's my take on her layout.  I'm also using the striped paper from my paper stash.  I've had this paper for a long time and cracked open the stack to get using it.  My flowers were also bought about 3 or 4 years ago.  These files came from KaDoodle Bug Designs as freebies... Autumn Bear Title and Pumpkin Hugs.  They are originally Kristi W. Designs.    Cute, cute, cute files!  Love them.

Autumn Pumpkin Layout

This layout was so fun.  I have enough photos to completely fill up the "white" space on this layout so I only did a top and bottom border.  These files were freebies from KaDoodle Bug Designs, and are Kristi W. Designs artwork....Autumn Title and Pumpkin Hugs.  I think they look adorable together.  So fun!  Love these little bears. For the shopping our stash challenge, they asked us to make a project with one of our best deals.  This striped paper was a 180 sheet paper stack from MME that I got for $5.00!  So of course I HAD to buy it.  Now in true shopping our stash logic, I did buy it several years ago!  LOL.  It's perfect for this page though...don't you think?  The bazzill card stock behind it is a "have" to buy also....  250 sheets for $45.00  Can't beat that!  LOL.  :-)  I'm lovin' that I'm finally get a few minutes here and there to scrapbook.

Birthday Fun to Crow About Layout

My daughter's birthday is around Halloween.  So this year she had a late over with friends and they painted pumpkins and hung out.  It was such a fun event.  I found these cute little crows somewhere and new that they would make a cute "Birthday Fun to Crow About" page.  My daughter doesn't like "pink" so I think she will like this layout!  LOL.  So I'm entering them into a few challenges including Docerela, Die Cutting Divas, and some others.  Hope you have a great day....I'm not off to do housework!  Ugh!

"Fair"y Good Time

I did these layouts to go with my Fun at the Fair layout!  We had such a good time.  I had forgotten my camera, so all of these pictures for these layouts were done with my camera phone.  Who knew that I would be so thankful for such silly simple pictures.  I love preserving all of our good memories.   Here's to camera phones which provide better than nothing pictures!  LOL.

Halloween Banner

I was in the mood to make something today and so I decided to make my first ever banner! At first I really didn't have any idea what to do with it, but then I pulled out a bunch of left over halloween cuts and cut a few more to go with it and voila. I LOVE how it turned out! It's the perfect touch to go on my web covered hutch in my living room. I'm entering it into these challenge:

Fall Picture/Layout

I love to decorate for Halloween and Christmas, but the rest of my holiday decor is slightly lacking. I've been toying with this idea for several months. I saw on someones blog how they had taken a tray with several compartments and filled each compartment with paper scrapbooking items and it turned out so cute! It was a spring one and was so adorable. Now one of the reason that I don't "collect" more items to put out over the additional holidays, is where do I store them while they are not in use? Well.....that is where this idea stemmed from. I thought, why couldn't I make a scrapbook size page with decor on it for all the different seasons and then just rotate the item in the frame. Cute decor, colors of my choosing, and easy to store, display and change whenever I want, then slip it into a scrapbook with a picture and dual purpose!...Hence, that is where this idea stemmed from. Now like I said, I have been toying with this idea for a long time. What prompted me to get going is that I saw a photo challenge at Getting Scrappy and I loved their photo and all the fun colors in it.....I also have a friend with a birthday coming up and I thought I should get busy. Then I decided to make one for her and one for me! After all, cutting out two of everything instead of one only takes a few minutes longer so......this idea has finally been started. To make sure everything was going to fit dual purpose, I basically just laid it out in MTC as a whole page and then copied each piece into a separate page to cut. That way it helped me get the sizes right. After some tweaking with the background paper, I decided it was good to go! The bird is a crow from Paper Crafting World here and the squirrel is a Treasure Box Design file here in their Treasure Box Pals set. The pumpkins are just basic shapes and I even hand cut the stems. Can you believe it! The other files were some I picked up along the way and even some punch cuts thrown in there. I really like the stacked hay....I needed something tall right there. Anyway, this was a fun project to do and I can't wait to do one for every season/holiday! Maybe even a special one to be displayed on the kids birthdays???? We'll see how far I get!

I'm entering it into these challenges:
