Happy Mother's Day Layout Page 1

Here's a Mother's Day layout I did with a freebie from Scrapping Bug Designs.  It's a Kristi W. file and is so adorable.  My son had gotten up early on Mother's Day and made me breakfast all by himself at the age of 9 so of course I have lots of pictures.  I still need to do a 2 spread layout to go with this one so I'm off to get it done so that I can get all my pictures recorded.  Have a wonderful day! spring animal spring anything goes (HIMCR) anything goes spring handmade flowers anything goes

Diaper Cake - It's a Boy

I made this diaper cake for my nephew and his wife.  His wife loves frogs so I figured what better figures than frogs and turtles to put on it.  I loved these little turtles and I even got to use my Peachy Keen face stamps on them.  I think it turned out cute.  Who knew that diaper cakes would be such fun.  Makes me kinda sad they didn't exist when my kids were babies!  Guess, I'll just have to make them for others! 3D baby animal scallops Spring green

Easter Treats

I made these cute little gift cards for my family and gave them too them today.  I think they turned out so cute.  I love this little bunny!  He came from KaDoodle Bug Designs and he's perfect with my new Peachy Keen Face!  Also, all the paper used was scraps!  I haven't bought a new paper stack in over a year.  I'm trying to use what I have because I'm out of space!  LOL.  Anyway, I'm lovin it!  I hope they do too! Easter Easter Spring anything goes Easter Easter Anything goes Spark your creativity Easter Easter

Nurse Cancer Shot Card

A few years ago, I had a friend who I found out was a breast cancer survivor.  In visiting with her, she said one of the hardest things was people's reaction to her news.  She said, "People I'd known forever, now all of the sudden didn't know how or what to say to me, so conversations were uncomfortable."  Unfortunately, a few years ago, she passed due to brain cancer or I'd call her now and ask her for her thoughts.  I learned a lot from her and her family and always respected her and have always remembered this conversation.  I bring it up now only because we found out that one of our friends has breast cancer.  We are taking in dinner and I wanted to make a card but I wasn't sure "what" to put on the card.    I didn't want a "Save the Ta Ta's" card because we don't know yet what her treatment will be and not wanting to offend her in case she has to have a mastectomy, I wondered what to put on it.  I also didn't want to give her a card that says "I'm sorry."  Now maybe some would disagree, but when we lost my Dad and people said they were sorry, the natural response to that is, "Thank you but it's ok or we're ok or whatever."  Well the reality of the situation was that it was NOT OK and when people said they were sorry, I wasn't sure what to respond back.  Since then, when someone is struggling, I try NOT to say, "I'm sorry," because I don't want them to feel like they have to say it's OK, when it's not.  The reality is, it's hard, it hurts and it stinks.  I wanted to make her a card that let her know that we cared and are here for her.  This is what I ended up with.  The front says, "Give CANCER a shot in the _ _ _) and the back says "And when you feel up to it, let's do something.  In the meantime, you're in our thoughts and prayers."  We are delivering this card with a dinner for her family and thought we'd see if there was anything like cleaning, running errands, helping with the kids or anything else they needed help with.  I hope it makes her smile for a split second anyway and breaks the ice so that we don't have an uncomfortable conversation.  Any cancer survivors out there that have any personal experience on what helped them so that we can help our friends?  I've found in life that most people want to help and when they say, "Call me if you need anything," they really mean it but the reality again is that most people won't call.  So any thoughts on how we can show up to help, would be appreciated and if you received any thoughts or cards of that made you laugh or wisdom that you really enjoyed, please share so that we can truly pass it on to someone it might help.  Thank you! 3D anything goes clean and simple clean and simple Bingo (red/black/white)

Happy Mother's Day Breakfast Layout

It seems like everyone is doing Spring projects lately and I'm no exception!  I broke out the Spring colors (even though it's snowing again here today) and made a layout for my last years Mother's Day photos.  My son fixed me breakfast on Mother's Day all by himself last year!  Wasn't that sweet?   Bless his sweet little heart.  He's such a good boy.  I am eternally lucky and blessed to have such wonderful kids.  This paper is from a DCWV stack I think that I've had for a couple of years and the title and bear are left over cuts from a couple of years ago's projects.  I love it when I find something hiding in my stash that is usable on another project!  Makes my life that much easier!

Riding the Rails Layout

I kinda like how this layout turned out.  I tried to model the train from our photos to the one on my page.  Love MTC for the flexibility that it gives me in these types of things.  I love that I was able to create what I was looking for.  I warped a railroad track from a set that I had to make the track on the bottom go from bigger to smaller.  I didn't want "choo choo" as the title so I searched for train scrapbook sayings and found a site that had several and I choose "Riding the Rails."   I love this font.  It's called Lobster of all things!  LOL.  What did we ever do before the internet?  Seriously!  LOL. 2 of something stitching - top border has faux stitching around the edges.....can't really see in the photos but it's there... anything goes

You Are SomeBunny Special

I love how this layout turned out.  These little bunnies were actually a Valentine's set and I just adapted them for an Easter layout for some pictures of my daughter.  I love how they turned out. So cute and I love the bunnies in grey!  These little bunnies are Kristi W. Designs bunnies and are oh so cute!  I even used my Treasure Box Designs face stamp on the bunny with the glasses.  I think it made him look cute and different from the others that I did.  Generally I find that the Treasure Box face stamps that I have are way to big for what I need them for but every now and again I have the perfect project for them.  I think that's why I've been loving my Peachy Keen face stamps lately as they are the perfect size for what I generally create which makes them way more usable for me.  I love usable!  LOL.  Have a great day! Easter use a bunny Easter color inspiration kids challenge

Kids Fishing Pond Layout

This was a fun layout for our kids fishing at the fishing pond.  I love the little bear in the boat!  He is one of my favorite cut files of all time.  He comes from Designs on Cloud 9 and is in a set called At the Lake and he is just so adorable.  Go check him out!  I can't remember where the little beaver came from but he's cute too.  LOL. use green anything goes anything goes linky party anything goes

Thanks Coach Basketball

My son played  basketball this year and so at the end of the season, I made these little cards to give to his coach and assistant coach.  I love my new Peachy Keen Faces.  I think they are adorable on these little guys.  These little boys were from a set that I bought when KaDoodle Bug Designs was clearing out their Kristi W. Designs.  I got the whole set for only $1.00.  I don't usually "do" people....I prefer animals, but these little guys were just too cute to pass up.  I also did a scrapbook page using them which I will post later.   His coach thanked me and said that she loved it.  :-)  I appreciated her so much for working with those boys.  She was awesome! embossing link party anything goes anything goes anything goes linky party anything goes

Soccer Rules Layout

Thisi s a fun little layout I created for my son's soccer pictures.  The files are from Treasure Box Designs.  I've had this cut set for over two or three yeas and never used it so I decided to dig out some paper from a stack that is just as old and get using it.  Here's what I came up with.  I'm entering it into these challenges: circles diecuts use green 3 pattern papers anything goes spring - means soccer around here anything goes green, orange, white

Fishin' Mission Layout

Here's a fun little fishing page I did for my son.  He went fishing and they caught an 8 lb fish and on another trip, his dad brought him home and was teaching him how to clean them.  He loves to go fishing with his Dad.  He's already excited for this summer to get here so they can go again.  Love my boys!  My bears are Kristi W. Designs files, the frog is from KaDoodle Bug Designs, and the little lady bug is a Little Scraps of Heaven file.  I like to mix and match files.  The trees, rocks, water and sign are Treasure Box Design files.  I also used my Peachy Keen face stamps (medium bear faces) on the little boating bear.  Isn't he cute.  Love him!  The paper is from my stash and is so old, I can't even tell you how long I've had it!  Also the little lady bug is a left over cut from a project from last year.  He fits perfect on this layout.  Love it when a layout comes together. use green use green use green go green die cuts snarky title scraps anything goes
