30th Anniversary Card

I got a bunch of brand new craft supplies in the mail the other day so  I decided to use some of my new supplies to make my husband this new interactive card.  It's fun to use those new supplies.   I used the interactive die for the card mechanism, a heart die that I had never used, and even the "pattern paper" inside and out is a stamp.  I bought this check stamp so that I could make any color of buffalo check that I wanted.  It actually stamped pretty evenly.  I love it.  I also bought a smaller check stamp also.  I hope it stamps as well as this one did.  There was only one little spot I had to reink a couple times to get it even.  I think I will try a blue on blue or pink on pink might be fun or even red and black check.  The inside squares are stamped with a big word stamp too.  I orignally thought this would be pretty stamped in brown on a light beige paper for an aged look, but I like how it turned out in black and white for this card.  Men's cards are so hard for me.

Dragonfly Swing Card

Here's another swing card I made using my left over paper and cuts.  I think they go well together!  Loving the little bug and dots and stripes.  Hope it makes someone smile!

Piano Recital Layout

I have started to make a few layouts again after quite a long break.  It feels good to be creative again.  I found a Facebook Group called meandmycricut and Pat's layouts are amazing.  She uses a lot of big die cuts which is actually relatively new to me.  I usually only make things that fit on a top and bottom border.  It's been fun to try some new things and to create again.  I absolutely love this black, white and blue piece of paper that I had in my stash.  Wish I had more than 1 sheet!
