Picture Frames

Aren't these fun. I decided to make one of these for our nieces husband. They have been trying to have a baby for several years and were finally blessed with the most adorable little girl. Anyway, Daddy's need gifts at baby showers too! LOL. So, I found these really nice frames that I liked and bought them. Then I added "Daddy's Girls" to the top one to give to my nieces husband to remember his "girls" while he's at work. When I showed it to my husband, he loved it and said he needed a new one for him as the only pictures he had at work were really old ones of me and the kids. Well, we can't have Dad with old pictures of the kids so.....I made him one too. His says "My Best Gifts" on it. He loved it and happily took it to work to replace the old pictures that he had. You know a project is a success when your husband wants one too! LOL.

Boys are Loads of Fun

My husband borrowed a front loaded for my father-in-law to use while they were adding onto their house. My son was so excited so Dad took him out and showed him how it ran. He had so much fun and kept poking his face out of the door. He had the biggest grin on his face. Way to go Dad....he'll remember it forever!

Boating Fun Layout

Have you ever had a layout that you just wanted to do knowing that you didn't have any pictures for it yet? Well, I rarely do that. I always scrapbook around my printed photos, but......I went to JoAnn's the other day and they had their DCWV stacks for 50% off. The citrus collection was screaming at me to take it home and I just couldn't disappoint it or me so I did. (That's what I'm telling my hubby and since it's my story...I'm stickin' to it!) Anyway, Treasure Box Designs has done it again and they had a boating fun set. I've already bought many of her sets and since I'd just purchased the paper, I didn't want to spend any more so....what's a girl to do? Since I had already purchased the bear set, I just set about going through my SVG files until I found a duck in a tube....one tube down, and a sailboat bottom which I added a rectangle and oval to to make my own stearing wheel and another rectangle warped for the front window and voila....my own boating set using her bears. I just stretched the bears body to be a little different and added a peaking bear for the driver. Have I mentioned that I love MTC? LOL. I love that I can take a sail boat and use a rectangle to boolean join taking off the sails leaving me with just the boat. I then warped it a tad and had one speed boat. Lovin' it! Now we just need warm enough weather we can get the boat out and take the kids tubing! Summer fun!

Strawberry Bear Poster

My son's teacher asked me to make a poster to hang in the wall that said "Our Mom's are the Picks of the patch." This is what I came up with. I think it turned out really cute! I've made several posters for her, but I think this one is one of my favorites. :-)

I'm going to enter it into this challenge: (something for a teacher and the color red)

Rudolph Help Wanted

Here's another poster for my son's class. This cute little reindeer was a freebie digi file. I wish I knew from where and I'd tell you but all that it's labeled with is reindeer free digi. If you know where this cute little guy came from, please let me know so that I can give them credit. He's adorable.

Wanna see a fun card....

I found this cute little tutorial on how to make a fun pop up card...on the front is a window and when you open it, it has a flower box inside. So cute! Sometime when I get a few minutes, I may have to give this one a try. If you'd like to see it, go here to check out her blog.

Winter Wonderland Poster

Here's another poster for my son's teacher. I like this one the best out of the three...but my favorite is still the strawberry bear one that I did. They should be using that this week for Mother's Day. :-)

Rainbow Poster

I've been putting these posters off for a while because of this one! LOL. My son's teacher wanted a rainbow and the saying "May all your wishes come true"....but I just didn't "want or feel like" doing a rainbow. No idea why...but....I finally just jumped in and got it done. Someone shared this cute little rainbow and it turned out cute. Simple, but done!

Ghostly Goblins Poster

Here's another poster for my son's teacher....she hangs these posters out in the hall and then the kids do an art project that they hang around it. She wanted ghosts and haunted houses so I am assuming the pictures hanging around it will be ghosts and haunted houses. LOL. In our school they only have regular die cuts which of course are the pits for changing the size if they even have what you want at all. I prefer my Make the Cut over those die cuts anyday! I did cut the title "Ghostly Goblins" with the die cutter and boy did it take too long. I brought the rest home to finish it. This is also the first time I experimented with construction paper and my cricut. I was worried that the paper would leave way to much "junk" on the mat, but it really didn't. I was pleasantly surprised. That means I can use the schools paper for these. Yeah!
