On the Farm

Today I didn't feel like creating a lot of things for scrapbooking (shocker huh!) so I dug through my old supplies and found these cute farm pieces. I do love to use my cricut as a supplement sometimes without creating the whole layout with it. In this layout, all I cut today was the barn and the title. The rest were either left over cuts or pieces from an old frame-ups kit. Simple, but fun. I love the barn and the title though. They added "just" the right touch to make it quick and easy. I'd share where I got the farm font if I could remember. That's the trouble with getting old and saving thousands of files over a 4 year period.....It was one someone created because it was in an svg file, however, I bet if you search the web, there's one out there.

Water Fight Layout

Posted by PicasaI love how this layout turned out.... you know how some just come together and some don't, well I like how this one came together. I like the bright colors, I think the little squirt guns and the bears are adorable, and even the font was fun on this one. I originally bought SCAL just for the font capabilities, but then learned all the additional things that it could do. Then when MTC hit the market I jumped on it because it had a much cleaner interface and the capabilities of it were so much better and easier to use than with SCAL. I absoulately hated all the little windows all over in SCAL....it drove me nuts! I've never looked back and LOVE it! This was such a fun day to celebrate a summer birthday and the kids had a ball with the bouncy house, water balloons, home-made rootbear, and squirt guns. Lovin' it!

Happy 13th Birthday

This card was made for a 13 year old girl that loves wolves. Her favorite colors are also red, black and white so.....I hope she enjoys this card! LOL.

Paint and Vinyl Pumpkin

I had originally cut a white ghost to go on my pumpkin to go with this face, but it didn't "fit" on the pumpkin and I didn't like it sooo..... I scrapped that idea and painted my ghost and then just added my vinyl eyes and mouth....much better. LOL. I think this expression is cute.

Halloween Pillow Treat Box

These are the little boxes that I made for my kids teachers and a few ladies in my church for Halloween. Tucked inside was some Halloween candy of course. :-) Fun fun! I could have made these boxes as I have several patterns that I could have cut, but we have a local stationary store that sold these for $2.50 for 25 of them. The paper would have cost me at least that not to mention my time. It was much faster to just fold these and decorate them and voila....done. :-) The orange scallped circle and round word halloween paper is actually double sided paper and so I only needed one sheet to do both cuts. I bet this whole project was only $.13 cents plus the candy. Gotta love that!
