Eek Layout

I'm still super behind on my scrapbooking but catching up.  These are actual 2014 pictures.  LOL.  I did 2013 not long ago.  Ha ha.  2015 to come.  Love these little files.  The title and fence came from Miss Kate's cuttables I believe.....and the little grim I can't remember!   He's actually a left over cut from a turning 50 project that I made and just hadn't used.  He's perfect for these pages though.  Sorry I can't remember where he came from but he's cute isn't he!  LOL.  As my kids get older, I find that Halloween is a lot simpler than it used to be.  A church trunk-or-treat, a pumpkin pizza, and movies at home.  I actually like not having to RUSH to both sets of Grandma's, both Great Grandma's, back to grab hubby, try to find some food and still trying to get the Trick-or-Treating done for the kids.  It was exhausting and I didn't even realize how much until this year when it was much more relaxing.  Don't get me wrong, it was fun and I'd do it all over again while they were little, but I'm also not sorry that it has now changed either!  Is that ok to say????

1st Day of School - Project Life Layout

Here's another layout that I was able to finish.  I modified the title to match my little bookworms which are Miss Kate's Cuttables files.  Love them.  They turned out so cute.  I'm loving that I've been able to get many of these older pictures taken care of and in albums.  I've been looking at them for way to long!  LOL.  Simple but effective.  If you look close, I have journaled on my photos.  I love that because then even if it's been a while since I developed them, some of the details of the events are saved.  I need to remember to do that all the time!  Love it when I do it especially when it's been a while since they were taken.

Happy Birthday Dog Easel Cards

For my retreat, we were to make a card to exchange.  These are the  cards I came up with.  The images are from My Scrap Chick.  Hope they like them!  I'm entering it into the sketch challenge below!

My Family Layout

They grow so fast.  These pictures were taken a couple years ago and my son has grown probably 6 inches and lost 20 lbs.  He looks totally different.  It was a fun day to hang out at the train station and get their photos though.  So glad that I will have these memories to cherish forever!  Love my family!

Back to School Layout

I just love these little guys!  Here is a back to school layout using Little Scraps of Heaven files.  I just love these little turtles and worm.  So much fun.  Some pages turn out better than others.  I really like this one.  Maybe because that turtle is turning into another of my favorite ever cut files.  He just makes me smile!  Hope you enjoy it too!  I developed my photos in different sizes than 4x6 this time and I didn't collage them.  Love it when I try something new and the end result turns out great!

St. Patrick's Day Layout

This was so much fun.  If you look at the photos, I decorated my table with all kinds of St. Patty's Day decorations and made green dinner etc. for my family.  The fun thing is that the same decorations are now on my scrapbook page.  Two birds with one stone as the saying goes.  LOL.  Makes for a fun dinner and a quick scrapbook page to remember it by.  Gotta love that!  These cute little files were from Designs on Cloud 9.  Sadly, she is no longer in business but I had these little cuties so I pulled them out and put them to use.

Sundae Treat Box

I am going to a scrapbook retreat in about a month and we do a secret sister exchange.  I decided I'd better get started because I have a lot coming up in the next month also.  So I decided to take one of the caddy essentials boxes from a collection from My Scrap Chick and make this cute little box.  The I used a cute sundae file from KaDoodle Bug Designs to make the cute little sundae.  I think it turned out cute.  I'm going to make a card and also one of those Sundae's made with a cup, loofa, and straw to go with it.  Maybe some chocolates to go in the box.  This lady is new to our group so I've never met her before.  Here's to hoping she likes it!  Here's a couple challenges to enter it into also.

Girl Sun Burst Card

I won some files from Too Cute by Jessica and loved these little girls.  This is actually a cancer set, however, I just changed the color she is wearing and she becomes just a girl.  I decided to make these the other day along with  4 of these cards.  So I decided to put her on one of them and I think she looks cute!  I like having extra cards around so that I can quickly give one for whatever reason.  I think someone will like her!

Make a Wish Layout

I always have TONS of birthday pictures and since they take a lot of time, I often have several years at a time waiting to be done.  Since I recently got my Cameo, I decided to try print and cut.  These cute little monkeys are a set from Little Scraps of Heaven that I have had for some time and never got around to making.  Well, I decided to do some print and cuts and knock some of these birthday layouts into the books.  LOL.  So here are those cute little monkeys on a layout.  My son wanted to go to the gun store and shoot this 50 caliber at $20 per 2 shots.  He LOVED it.  I was behind him when he shot it and no one prepared me for the blast I would receive just from being near it!  LOL.  After this, we took off to the range where we shot the uglies zombie targets I have ever seen, but once again, it was a fun time for my son!

July 4th Parade Layouts

Aren't these cute little froggies adorable!  I just knew they needed to go on a 4th of July layout or two.  LOL.  They are Kristi W. Designs files and oh so cute.  I even did them as a print and cut.  Lovin' them!  Thought I would enter it into a red white and blue challenge with some green of course for those cute little frogs!  LOL.

School Notebook Makeover

Here's a remake on a little notebook.  The worm and books are from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.  I think he makes a cute little addition to this notebook.

Sunshine Layout

Just a couple quick pictures of my kids hanging out at a local lake.  What fun summer fun.  One of my favorite summer things to do is play in the water.  I love the heat, the sand, the water.  Summer is my favorite season!  I decided to try some more print and cut.  Love how quick it comes together!  Sometimes for these oddball pictures that I never get around to, this might just be the perfect answer. Gets them done and in the book.  Have to love that.  These files are from Miss Kate's Cuttables.

Jolly Holidays Layout

They are doing a Christmas in July challenge and so I decided to join.  For Christmas a few years ago (yes, I know I am behind) I did 12 days of Christmas for my hubby.  It was fun.  I decorated his car, gave him homemade treats, cards, gifts etc.  It was a fun way to make sure he felt special in the hustle and bustle of the season.  He loved it so much the next year we decided to do it for his brother who had recently gotten divorced and who was alone for Christmas.  I ended up doing it for my hubby too as they have similar interests so it was fun to do it for both of them.  It takes a lot of planning in advance because December is just too busy to try to do it last minute with everything else going on, but they both loved it.  It's been a couple of years....maybe I should do it again this year.

Beat the Heat Layout - Mexico

Here's a fun layout that I created for our cruise that we took with the kids to Mexico.  We are hanging out at Stone Island in Mazatlan.  What a fun day with our family!  Love these guys!  It was my children's first time flying on a plane, seeing the ocean, being on a cruise ship and leaving the country.  Guess we waited to do it all in one vacation!  LOL.  We had a ball.  These cute little bears are from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  Aren't they cute!  I am entering this into the Cutitupchallenge.  They are celebrating 100 challenges!  Way to go!  Happy summer all!

Baby Card

MarjorieAnnDesigns offered this file as a freebie not long ago.  I love her designs!  My niece just found out she is expecting a baby boy.  Since I do't get to make baby items anymore, I jumped at the chance to make this cute little card.  I love cuts that I can use all my left over paper on.  Of course, then I had to find some paper to make a cute little envelope (which I messed up on and had to fix.....still learning sizes on those.  Someday, I'll get it figured out!)  Anyway, I bet she doesn't even notice that the envelope is a little off.  Hopefully, she just sees the cute little card and loves it.  My friend had this brilliant idea to slide her card inside the envelope for storage.  Then card and envelope stay together and I can still see what card it is.  Now why didn't I think of that sooner?  Better late than never!  LOL.

Pinewood Derby Layout

I'm finally getting around to doing my son's pinewood derby layout.  He loved his car and award.  His dream car is a lime green camero and so he asked his Dad if they could try to make that car.  They did a really nice job.  He absolutely loved it!  The derby car is from Treasure Box Designs, the title I made, and the banner across the top is a Miss Kate's Cuttables Design.

Piano Recital Layout

Some layouts turn out better than others.  I don't know if it's the colors, the files or, the child, but I love how this layout turned out.  I love the colors, title, piano, roses etc.  Love love love it!  Thanks Miss Kate's Cuttables!  As for the unfinished part, I actually cut those piano keys BEFORE she did this recital....so I've been holding them for about 18 months or so....the other cuts are actually left overs too except for the roses.  Those were a recent freebie and I am dying for warm weather and flowers around here so I couldn't help but make some out of some left over scraps.   Hoping for a little spring maybe?  LOL.  Whatever the reason, I love them too.

Ok...so here is a layout that I did using my leftover cuts from other layouts.  I think it turned out adorable too.  Love those little birds in the nest and those frogs.  So much fun.
