Christmas Eve Layout 2015

This is my version of  project life.  I am so far behind on Christmas pages that I decided to try to make a simplified version of my normal layouts.   It worked and I completed at least one set of my Christmas photos.   I have 2015 through 2019.  Because there are so many "events and traditions" at Christmas, I actually dread getting started on them because it takes so long.  I do the same with vacation photos knowing that they will take forever.  I think that I will do a cover page and then finish them like these.  Simple and fairly fast to put together.  Yeah.  Now I just need time to do more of them.  Thanks for the challenge to get at least one done!

You had me at Hello Layout

Another layout created from leftovers from other layouts.  That's a great way to bash my stash.  I love being able to make cute layouts with leftovers.  That's a win win!  However, I love the man in the photos more than any layout!  haha.  This year we have had an early winter with 6 inches of snow already in October!  Yikes.  So this layout is fall/winter because this year it came super early.  Sadly, we didn't get warm until July either.  So very little summer and right back into winter.  It's going to be a long 9 months!

Christmas Eve 2016 Layouts

So I had these borders left over from a big project that I did and decided to do some pages to go with a Christmas challenge that was posted.  By combining them in a different way, I was able to do another 4 page layout set with my scraps.  Even the trees and snowflakes came from leftover scraps.  I just cut them into these cute little trees which I LOVE.  Who knew little trees could make me so happy.  LOL.  I am so behind on Christmas.... one more event done!

Interchangeable Truck Banner

I LOVE how this turned out.  I made this interchangeable truck banner.  The pumpkins can be removed and a tree, shamrock, heart, Easter eggs etc. can be put into it.  That way it can be used year round if I want.  I can even add a cake or presents for everyone's birthdays.  Super cute and fun.  I did however, remove 2 of the trucks.  I thought it looked a little congested where it was hanging so I used 3 trucks instead of the 5 I originally started with but I didn't retake the photo.  Either way, I think you get the idea.  Now I have a couple extra trucks to put on a scrapbook page.  So much fun or maybe I will make one more and make one for a friend.  Either way, I love how it turned out.  Hope you do too.  Have a great day!  I am sharing it with the challenges below:

Happy Campers Layout

I had fun making this layout.  The cute papers all came from a kit I was given at a scrapbooking retreat from my secret sister and the cutouts were some from grab bags I got at Our on a Limb for .80.  They were well worth the money.  So many of the ladies wouldn't even look at them, but since I cut so many files, I had a good idea what some of the pieces would make so I bought them in an unmarked bag.  We often go to a cabin and we spend a lot of time outdoors so I knew that these pine cones would go somewhere.  The colors look like they were made for this page.  Love it!

Christmas Eve 2013 Layout

I figured I had better get on these Christmas pictures.  I seem to always put Christmas photos off because there are so many events to capture each year.  I love traditions and I love my family and so I always have a ton of Christmas photos and so they can't be done in just an evening.  So .... I finally got on these.  Every year we have a family Christmas Eve party.  It's a tradition that I have never missed in my life and one that my Dad's family did.  I wish he was here to ask him, but I don't think my Dad ever had a Christmas without it either so when we lost him, it was really important for me to make sure that it continued even though my Mom lost heart in it and didn't want to do it anymore.  So my sister-in-law and myself alternate the party each year at each other's home just so that we don't loose the tradition.  This year it was at her home which means next year it will be at ours.  The title and stockings are Miss Kate Cuttables and the bird is a KaDoodle Bug Designs file.  So cute together.  These will be my "theme" files this year for all my layouts so check back to see how the rest of the  pages came together using them!  Thanks for looking!

Hello There Winter Bear Card

I got some new stamps, enamel dots, embossing folders and washi tape so this is what I came up with!  Lovin' this stamp set.  So fun!  Tried a new fun technique with my embossing snow folder too.  Just did the top and bottom.  Was a fun way to play with new supplies.

Christmas Jar Tags

I LOVE how this turned out.  I still need to add some twine on my tag, but LOVE it.  On the back I did a print and cut that says "From our house to yours" and then our names.  I think these will look so cute on our neighbor gifts.  So much fun!  This was modified from a file from My Scrap Chick.  Instead of a card, I just made a tag.  So fun!   I don't remember what stamp set my Merry and Bright came from, but it was a perfect fit on my tag!

Piano Recital Layout

Some layouts turn out better than others.  I don't know if it's the colors, the files or, the child, but I love how this layout turned out.  I love the colors, title, piano, roses etc.  Love love love it!  Thanks Miss Kate's Cuttables!  As for the unfinished part, I actually cut those piano keys BEFORE she did this recital....so I've been holding them for about 18 months or so....the other cuts are actually left overs too except for the roses.  Those were a recent freebie and I am dying for warm weather and flowers around here so I couldn't help but make some out of some left over scraps.   Hoping for a little spring maybe?  LOL.  Whatever the reason, I love them too.

Christmas Gift Envelopes

What do you get someone who has everything?  Well, gift card/money of course.  But just handing someone money isn't any fun nor is it very creative so I created these cute little envelopes to hold the gift cards/money for the restaurants specified on them, places that they eat often.  Then I tied them with a bow to hold them all together and will give them with a little gift. Hope they like them and enjoy their dates!

Snowman Gift Card

I needed some gift card holders for Christmas so I found this fun little envelope holder and got to work on making some.  This one I used the little snowman from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.  I  think he turned out cute!  Love that little hat too!

http://www.hidinginmycraftroom.com/2015/12/himcr-229-super-scraps-saturday.html I used my green and white paper scraps to  make this.  :-)

Parrot Christmas Gift Card Holder

Here's a little gift card holder that I made using the parrot from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.  I think he's so cute!  Even a cute little parrot wants to go on a sleigh ride in the snow!  Can you tell it's been snowing here?  LOL.  For the Clear it Out Challenge, the paper is probably at least 6 years old....that counts right?  Hoarder comes to mind.........

Mouse and Candy Cane Card

Isn't this a fun little Christmas card.  I love this little mouse.  This is one of my first attempts at print and cut.  I can tell that if I'm going to do a lot of this, I need to get a better printer.  But, overall I think he's really cute.  The files are from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.

Christmas Gift Cards Print and Cut

Christmas gift card holders.....ok....so like everyone else, I like to give a personal touch to my Christmas gifts but let's face it, it can take a LOT of time.  This year since I bought a used Sillouhette SD machine, I thought it was the perfect time to make a project using Print and Cut.  (Let's face it....they usually end up in the garbage anyway and since I'm trying to simplify, this is one of the areas I did it in.)  I decided to use the cute little file from Treasure Box Designs.  I got 6 of them on an 8.5x11 piece of paper and cut them out using my new SD.  I'm pretty impressed.  This is only my 3rd print and cut I've done and it cuts pretty close to the original design.  Not perfect but for now I'm ok with it.  I made these cute little gift card holders that open and have a place for a greeting and an slot to hold the gift card.  I think they are a fun way to give a gift card.  Hope my friends think so also!  Overall, pretty pleased with how they turned out and a much quicker way to make them then by hand.  Yeah!

Snowman Belly Box

Isn't this little guy cute!  I made 8 of them the other day for the young women that I teach in church.  I plan on making a few more for music teachers, bus drivers, ladies that I go visit each month etc.  I think they will be cute with a little bag of Hershey's kisses.  Fun fun.  This is a My Scrap Chick file and it was so easy to assemble.  Love it.  I have a group of ladies coming over and we are going to mass produce this little guy.  He was my attempt to make sure it would be fun and easy.  Now on to the gingerbread one.

Gingerbread Belly Box

So the snowman belly box that I did the other day from My Scrap Chick turned out so cute and easy to assemble, I decided to make his friend.  I love this one too.  I made 8 snowmen and only 1 of this little guy so far, but I will be making more of them.  So cute and fun!  Hope everyone likes them this year!

Holiday Cheer Layout

Seems like I am always behind on Christmas photos.  I try each year to get the previous year done before Christmas and sometimes I make it and sometimes I don't.  I am, however, loving these colors together and these little gingerbread kids are just so adorable.   There were doing a sweets challenge and I thought you don't get any sweeter than these little guys so I decided to join the challenge and make these cute little sweets to go on a page with my sweets.  LOL.  I think they turned out so cute!  Love them!
