Blog Candy Alert

I couldn't resist. I found this blog candy and had to leave a comment to try to win. I've always wanted to try the Cinch and just never saved up the money to do so. When I saw this blog candy, I knew that I had to at least give it a try! To make it better, it even comes with stamps and for those of you who know me, I'm fairly new at this stamping thing and only have a handful (literally)....(better late than never) LOL. How awesome is this. I browsed around her blog and love it too. Such fun. If you'd like to check out her blog jump on over to and look around. I'm sure you'll love it too!

Cupcake Birhtday Card

I needed a quick birthday card for a friend and I had this little cupcake left over from some other project so....within a few minutes I have a cute little cupcake card to give to her with her gift. I love this little cupcake.

Mr. and Mrs. Cards

What do you do with the leftovers from one card? Well you make some more of course! We have two nephews getting married this spring/summer so I decided that red, black and white made a nice wedding card so...here they are! I love MTC for how easy it is to layer numerous times. The Mr and Mrs. is matted 4 times! Gotta love that and for the quick click of the mouse. :-)

Faith makes things possible tile

I saw this saying on a sign in a store and loved it. Unfortunately, the colors on the sign didn't go well with my decor so.... I recreated it to place it on a tile. Then I decided I needed a birthday gift for my friend and that I should give it to her so I sat it upstairs to give to my friend and my mom came over and loved it and wanted to know if I'd make one for her. So I sent this one home with my mom and now I need to make another one for my friend and probably one for me too. I really like how the dragonflies and the butterfly turned out on this project. Super fun, easy, cute with a good message to boot! Love that!

Boy Birthday Cake

My son's favorite cake is zuchini cake without nuts. Well, it's also one of his Dad's favorite cakes but with nuts so here is the solution. One birthday cake with half nuts and half not! LOL. We had an impromptu birthday party for my son because what he wanted to do was an outdoor activity and the weather wasn't cooperating so at the last minute, we invited a couple of friends to come over for a late over to include pizza and a movie. So, if friends were coming over, we had to have cake and ice cream so I needed some decorations for his cake. Most people would pop over to the store, but we live just outside of town and a trip to the store is at least a 40 minute trip so.... what's a girl to do? I happened to have these little monsters left over from his Valentines gifts so I just cut a Happy Birthday sign and voila....one boy birthday cake decorated in his favorite color....green..... He loved it and wanted to add a couple of his lego people too so there you go. Cricut to the rescue for one cute last minute cake....no cricut cake machine needed! LOL.

Warm Winter Wishes

Ok...I had these snowmobiling pictures laying around and knew I needed to make some winter pages. I again decided to use one of the sets that I purchased from TreasureBoxDesigns.com. I purchased several sets when she had a 55% off sale and couldn't resist. I still have a few sets I haven't cut yet, but I know I will. I actually had these little bears cut out and left over from a different project so all I had to do was cut the little cocoa cups and found some other elements like the snow border and dripping ice. Aren't these bears cute. I've got several layouts in mind to use some of these files with. Now I just need the time. LOL.

Ski Skool Layout

Have I mentioned I love my MTC. LOL. I purchased the bear files from Treasure Box Designs, but she didn't have a skiiing bear and my husband was teaching my son the basics on our driveway before we took him up on the hill for the first time. Well, MTC to the rescue. I found some skii's and some poles online that I liked but they were too thin to cut well. I fattened and rounded them using the shadow feature and ended up with adorable skiis and poles! I LOVE my skiiing bear and think he turned out adorable and perfect for these pictures. I took the hat and scarf from the Treasure Box Designs snowmen set and made it fit the bear before cutting too. Voila....one skiing bear. Perfect for first time skiing pictures! Gotta love that!

Scouting Fun

I entered a contest at TreasureBoxDesigns.com and won this adorable scouting set. It was just perfect and the little cars and scouts were adorable. I even took the boys hair and flipped it sideways and welded it to make long hair for the "me" with my scout. Then I just cut a girl color shirt instead of blue and we have a Mom and Son person on his scouting page. The timing for winning this set was just perfect as it was just before my son had his first Pinewood Derby. His Dad cut his car, my son sanded and painted it, and then brought it into Mom to detail. One cricut and MTC to the rescue and we had one cool looking Pinewood Derby car which took third place in a double elimination bracket. I'm thinking if we had made it weigh exactly 5 oz, he might have done even better! Way to go buddy! He was so excited. Dad and I learned a lot along the way and are excited for next year's car! LOL. Next week, I'm entering it into the Treasure Box Designs contest, but couldn't help show it off now and enter it into a couple more contests...this one one of those layouts that I justed had FUN doing. Love those!

Masculine Birthday

Posted by Picasa

Well, it seems the theme lately is masculine cards for Father's Day. Since my Dad has passed, I decided to make a birthday card for my brother instead as his birthday is in June. I love this little frog and the look on the flies face makes me laugh. I thought about titling it "Another Birthday" but..... I think my brother will like it. I'm entering it into these challenges:
