Love You 2 Pieces Layout

I have been trying to get caught up on some scrapbooking and so I have been watching challenges to get me going.  Today, I a challenge to use stripes and an anything goes.  I had this striped paper on hand and decided it would go well with these photos.  Yeah!  Once again loving the print and cut!  I had made a couple of these titles awhile ago and it worked great for this layout too! Love using those items I have on hand with new ones.  Another page done!  Yeah!  Title I made myself but the print and cut are from Treasure Box Designs.

Nuts About You Birthday Layout

 

 

It seems that I am always behind on birthday layouts and so today I thought I'd get these 3 birthday ago pictures done!  Yikes!  LOL.  Anyway, I had these little squirrels left over from my husbands 12 days of Christmas and decided to use them on a "Nuts About You" birth day layout.  Simple but done!  LOL.  I like the little hats that I added to the squirrels to turn them into little birthday squirrels. Not horribly manly, but it will have to do!  These once again are some of my new Peach Keen Faces!  This is the Medium Tear Bear set.  Love those eyes!  The little squirrels are from the cute set from Designs on Cloud 9!  Her files are adorable also and I love these guys!

My son played  basketball this year and so at the end of the season, I made these little cards to give to his coach and assistant coach.  I love my new Peachy Keen Faces.  I think they are adorable on these little guys.  These little boys were from a set that I bought when KaDoodle Bug Designs was clearing out their Kristi W. Designs.  I got the whole set for only $1.00.  I don't usually "do" people....I prefer animals, but these little guys were just too cute to pass up.  I also did a scrapbook page using them which I will post later.   His coach thanked me and said that she loved it.  :-)  I appreciated her so much for working with those boys.  She was awesome!

Swish Basketball Layout

 

 

Aren't these little guys great!  I love my new Peachy Keen Faces (Wide Eyed Kids).  These little boys are from KaDoodle Bug Designs and I picked up the whole set when she was clearing them out for only $1.00 a set.  A way good deal.  They are a Krisit W. Design and I think they turned out so cute.  For so long, every designer seems to have football and baseball and even karate, but no one has had basketball.  Not sure why but when I saw these little guys I knew I had to have them.  I have a couple of years worth of basketball to catch up on so they will be well used.  I also used them on a couple of cards that I made his coaches.   If you want to see those, they will be posted also.  Just search for basketball.  Have a great day!

Carving Memories Layout

 

 

I just had to use my Peachy Keen Stamps again.  I had most of these little cutouts left over from different projects but I just had to do a layout with them because I just got the cute little pumpkin faces from Peachy Keen.   For Christmas I had purchased my second small set of stamps from Peachy Keen and of course had to use them.  So I was making all kinds of projects and joining their challenge every week just to use my new stamps.  I didn't even realize that they were doing a end of the month challenge and they picked a winner that had entered all 4 challenges during the month and I was the lucky winner!  I was thrilled as I'm fairly new to their stamps.  I won $30 dollars worth and decided to purchase several of their smaller sets including these pumpkin faces!  So as you can imagine, I was having fun with my one set and now I have 4 more!  So you will be seeing lost of projects with these stamps as I have fun exploring and playing with them!  I think they are adorable and add such a cute touch.  I like making my own faces, but I also like the stamps.  Now if my uniball pens would quit acting up, I'd be completely happy!  LOL.

Bunch of Nuts Layout

I am finishing off my squirrels that I had left over from my 12 days of Christmas gifts for my hubby.  When I scrapbook, I always try to cut as many items as I can from the paper that I have and then use the left overs on other pages and cards.  It makes quick projects on those days when I don't have the time to do a lot of paper piecings.   I was able to finish these squirrels off today on this layout, a birthday layout, and a creating memories layout where I used the single leftovers of 4 different cuts.  I love it when they can be used together to create a completely different look.  I doesn't hurt that I am 2 or 3 years behind on my scrapping and so these squirrels will reappear, but they are 3 years apart in the books so unless someone is going through my books all at once, they probably won't even notice.  :-)  These squirrels are from a set from Designs on Cloud 9 and the faces are again Peachy Keen!

Gingerbread House Layout

Can I say I LOVE my Peachy Keen face stamps! I love how cute they make my gingerbread man look! This year we made gingerbread houses for our activity day girls and we had one left over and so after making my own for the very first time in my life, I brought the extra home with the intent of making another one and having my kids finish them. Well, my daughter didn't want to make one and so I turned my son loose and he had a ball. After decorating it once, he even picked all the candy off and ate it and then decorated it a second time to eat! It made me laugh. Well when I was looking through my pictures and things, I remembered I had this cute little font that had gingerbread images on it and so I loaded it into my MTC program and voila. I was really excited to see that it also had a mug and gingerbread cookie on it because there is a challenge going on here: http://sarahhurleychallenges.blogspot.com/2011/02/challenge-30-food-and-drink.html that I can even enter it into. You can't beat that....something I wanted to do and a challenge to boot! Have I mentioned lately that I love my MTC program! It always amazes me that no matter WHAT I choose to scrapbook, there is always a free alternative to a cartridge. This is a Lettering Delights font called DB Gingerbread Cookie that I got when they offered it as a free download. I love it! If you want it and watch their site, they often run sales for $1.00. That's a pretty cheap cartridge, but it was even better when I got it for 0.00! :-)

Birthday Card

At Cooking With Cricut, this is actually two challenges in one because if you do a birthday theme, you are entered into a drawing for some Peachy Keen Stamps and as you know, I got my first set of these stamps yesterday so I was excited to use them again! I love them so far and know that I'm going to need some more so I was excited to see her give away because I get to use my new stamps and have the chance to win some more. It's a win win! Plus, if I followed her sketch, then I also have the chance of winning a cute little birthday set of files from her! Fun fun. So....this is what I made this morning. I was going to give you the link for this little cupcake from Southernbelle's blog, but when I tried to go there, it said the blog had been removed! Darn it! And to think that it's a file that I actually KNOW where it came from! LOL. Anyway, sorry about that! Did you notice my winking cupcake AND a happy birthday stamp. Wow...two in one project! Something tells me you will be seeing more stamps in my future!
