Dog and Pumpkin Tag

Today I had a few minutes and noticed that their were a couple of challenges going on so I decided to make me a new bookmark since one of the challenges was a tag.  I also used just scraps to create this whole project.  :-)   It will be a fun addition to my book!

Frog Bookmarks

The other morning, my daughter said she loved the frog on my hubby's Valentines Day Card. Since I had planned on making them a bookmark for Valentine's Day but never got it done, I took a couple of minutes to make these cute little bookmarks for them. I think they turned out cute. I also love it when I can use all scraps to make a project.   Have I mentioned how many scraps I have?  UGH.  Anyway, we like to read at our house so we can never have enough bookmarks.  They thought they were cute too!

Bookmarks

Today, my daughter couldn't find her bookmark, so she said "Mom, can you make me a bookmark?" We started with Smurfs and then she said, "I know....how about the Broncos?" I said, "Well, if I can find a logo, I bet I can do that." She was thrilled! When I was done, my son wanted one for the Steelers. LOL. Here's what I came up with real quick on a Sunday afternoon for them! Silly kids!

Scripture Reading Bookmark

This was such a fun project to make. I had my activity day girls over today to create this Book of Mormon Scripture Bookmark. On one side, it has a chart to mark off each chapter in the Book of Mormon after they complete it and on the other side is this cute little bear. Hopefully they will use this bookmark and keep track of their scripture reading too! I'm so loving all these cute little ways to use these bears. This is the bear head that I did when I first got Scal, however, now I've decided I like the tear drop eyes instead of the oval ones and just circles for his paws instead of the little finger things I had on him originally. Anyway, just one more way to use these cute little bears.

Cute Bookmark....

Yesterday, I was browsing the internet and I went to this website (one of my favorites for ideas.) Her design team is fantastic. Here's the link if you want to peak. http://regina-bittenbythebug.blogspot.com/2009/05/animal-kingdom-bookmark-challenge.html Anyway, they had done a challenge using the bookmark feature on the Animal Kingdom Cartridge. Their bookmarks were so cute, I had to give it a try. So off to my scrap space where I came across a leftover 11 inch scrap from another project. So instead of using the bookmark feature (this already had ribbon on it) I just added some matching paper and this cute little elephant (he is a copyrighted image from this site http://www.teddybear-treasures.com/.) She sells the cutest files for die cutting machines. I personally used my cricut with the SCAL program to cut this elephant. If you haven't been to her site, drop on over, you won't be disappointed. Her files are really cute and her prices are very reasonable.

Anyway, I loved how it turned out as the nose can now hold my spot on the page of whatever book I am reading. I just love looking at peoples creations and getting inspired to try something new. I don't think I would have ever decided to do a bookmark. It just never crossed my mind. I usually just use a scrap of paper or sticky note that is handy. LOL. Anyway, I think he turned out cute. Skunk Bookmark

I made a cute little elephant bookmark a while ago, (I'll post it soon...I guess I forgot to post it! LOL.) but my daughter liked it so much she snitched it. So I had to make me a new one. This skunk is a copyrighted pattern for sale by http://www.teddybear-treasures.com/. She has some really cute files and her prices are great too. You should go take a peak! Anyway, I think this one turned out cute too. Better than the sticky note I was using!
