Ghostly Goblins Poster

Here's another poster for my son's teacher....she hangs these posters out in the hall and then the kids do an art project that they hang around it. She wanted ghosts and haunted houses so I am assuming the pictures hanging around it will be ghosts and haunted houses. LOL. In our school they only have regular die cuts which of course are the pits for changing the size if they even have what you want at all. I prefer my Make the Cut over those die cuts anyday! I did cut the title "Ghostly Goblins" with the die cutter and boy did it take too long. I brought the rest home to finish it. This is also the first time I experimented with construction paper and my cricut. I was worried that the paper would leave way to much "junk" on the mat, but it really didn't. I was pleasantly surprised. That means I can use the schools paper for these. Yeah!

Mother's Day Card

This year for Mother's Day I was a little stumped. We just suddenly lost my father at only 67 years old a couple of months ago and a typical "Have a Great Mother's Day" just didn't seem appropriate. It's been so terribly hard and is bound to NOT be her best Mother's Day as all of these first are awful. If you've lost a parent or spouse then you know how difficult these last couple of months have been. Well, as I was blog hopping, I came across this a card "here" and the sentiment spoke to my heart. I KNEW that this HAD to go on my Mom's Mother's Day card. I didn't have the time to order stamps and so I just printed the saying on my computer. If you would like these wonderful stamps, they are for sale here. I wish I could take away her pain and ours, but since I can't, I hope that she can find the "courage" to make the changes that have been forced upon her. I love you Mom!

Poster for my son

Tonight it was just me and my son and I asked him if he wanted to go to dinner with Mom and he said he wanted to stay home and create a poster with me. How sweet is that. He's seen me making all these posters for his teacher and he wanted one for him. So tonight, we stayed home and made him a poster. When I asked him what he wanted on his poster he said the Angry Bird. LOL. When I was on my reader the other night, he saw the popup card from here: http://extremecards.blogspot.com/2011/04/angry-birds-pop-up-card-tutorial.html and wanted to know if we could do that on his poster. So I took her PDF file and turned it into a cut file for his poster and he's loving it! Thanks for sharing with me....my son loved it!

Ok...after some computer problems with images from my new camera, I think this one is going to work! LOL.

Think spring! I had so much fun using these little bunnies and chicks yesterday that I just had to keep going. Yes...I spent the day scrapping...shhhhh don't tell....I didn't get my laundry folded. But...didn't they turn out cute? The turtle is a leftover cut. I made several of them over a year ago for a layout and had extras and so he was just sitting around collecting dust. The colors fit perfectly so I added him to my Easter layout. The bunny and chick patterns are Treasure Box Designs and the cute little bluebird was a freebie somewhere. If you know where he came from, let me know so I can give them credit. He's adorable and screams Spring! I love these pages :-) I'm entering them in these challenges:

Layout - Color It!

I'm a little behind....LOL....I found a couple of challenges to scrapbook so I decided to drag out last years Easter pictures. On Easter, we went to a cabin and there was still 3 feet of snow when we got there and it snowed 6 inches while we were there over Easter. So what do you do when it snows over Easter, well after you color your eggs, you take the dye outside and color the snow. LOL. The kids loved it and wanted to know if we could do it again this year....Anyway, I'm not really impressed with how the markers did with this font....the caption says "When the weather gives you snow on Easter, Think Spring and color it!" Anyway it was a fun Easter and the kids loved coloring their eggs at the cabin and then we all had fun coloring the snow. :-)
