Christmas Gift Envelopes

What do you get someone who has everything?  Well, gift card/money of course.  But just handing someone money isn't any fun nor is it very creative so I created these cute little envelopes to hold the gift cards/money for the restaurants specified on them, places that they eat often.  Then I tied them with a bow to hold them all together and will give them with a little gift. Hope they like them and enjoy their dates!

Baby It's Cold Outside Layyout

Here's another quick page.  Once again, I'm thankful that my journaling was on the photos as these were taken 3 years ago.  I'm glad I didn't loose that detail since I am so far behind on my scrapbooking.  Before I started to make all my embellishments, I was actually caught up on my scrapbooking.  Then I started to make all my own embellishments because the designers are so good at making cute files.  Unfortunately, it takes so much longer to create everything and I got so far behind.  I love being able to catch up some and spend more time on some pages and less on others.  I also like getting some of these "odd ball or left over" pictures done and in books.  Better in the album, than in my to do pile!  Love this little snowman.  He's one of the Little Scraps of Heaven files and the title was a freebie from Miss Kate's Cuttables again.  Have I mentioned I love free files?  The designers are always so generous!  Thank you so much!!!!

Snowman Gift Card

I needed some gift card holders for Christmas so I found this fun little envelope holder and got to work on making some.  This one I used the little snowman from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.  I  think he turned out cute!  Love that little hat too!

http://www.hidinginmycraftroom.com/2015/12/himcr-229-super-scraps-saturday.html I used my green and white paper scraps to  make this.  :-)

Parrot Christmas Gift Card Holder

Here's a little gift card holder that I made using the parrot from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.  I think he's so cute!  Even a cute little parrot wants to go on a sleigh ride in the snow!  Can you tell it's been snowing here?  LOL.  For the Clear it Out Challenge, the paper is probably at least 6 years old....that counts right?  Hoarder comes to mind.........

Mouse and Candy Cane Card

Isn't this a fun little Christmas card.  I love this little mouse.  This is one of my first attempts at print and cut.  I can tell that if I'm going to do a lot of this, I need to get a better printer.  But, overall I think he's really cute.  The files are from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.

Fair Time Paper Piecings

This year we went to the fair.  I have the pictures developed and had a few minutes so I made these cute little files to go with those pictures.  Aren't they fun.  The titles I just made, the turtle is from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs, the bears are from Cuddly Cute Designs, the popcorn and cotton candy and are from Miss Kate's Cuttables, and I don't know who shared the cute little carmel apple.  (If it's yours, please let me know so I can give you credit!)  Anyway, it was fun to play with a few files today.  Love how they turned out!  Can't wait to put them on a page soon!

Back to School Paper Piecings

Spent the day making these cute little back to school piecings.  I love them!  Sometimes I don't feel like scrapbooking, sometimes, I just want to put together cute little files.  Aren't these adorable.  They came from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.  One of these days when I feel like scrapbooking, I will put them on pages.  Until then, they are ready to go when I get in that mood.  LOL.

Twas the night before Christmas

I think this was my favorite two page Christmas layout.  I love how everything turned out.  The little mice are from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.  The pinecones are a freebie from Miss Kate Cutables.  Such a fun layout!  I even love the pink and green together.  So fun!

That Hurt Paper Piecing Title

My son had a 4-wheeler accident and so I made this title to go on those pages.  I think it turned out cute.  I saw a cute page online that had this title, but it had an xray of broken bones as part of it as her child had broken his arm or leg or something.  I thought it was adorable so I created my own with files and fonts that I already had so that it went better for the accident that my son had.  I think it turned out cute.  I wish I had saved the page, then I could give her credit but.....alas....I didn't.  Sorry!

Christmas Gift Cards Print and Cut

Christmas gift card holders.....ok....so like everyone else, I like to give a personal touch to my Christmas gifts but let's face it, it can take a LOT of time.  This year since I bought a used Sillouhette SD machine, I thought it was the perfect time to make a project using Print and Cut.  (Let's face it....they usually end up in the garbage anyway and since I'm trying to simplify, this is one of the areas I did it in.)  I decided to use the cute little file from Treasure Box Designs.  I got 6 of them on an 8.5x11 piece of paper and cut them out using my new SD.  I'm pretty impressed.  This is only my 3rd print and cut I've done and it cuts pretty close to the original design.  Not perfect but for now I'm ok with it.  I made these cute little gift card holders that open and have a place for a greeting and an slot to hold the gift card.  I think they are a fun way to give a gift card.  Hope my friends think so also!  Overall, pretty pleased with how they turned out and a much quicker way to make them then by hand.  Yeah!

Tree Card

I needed some generic cards for my stash....you know the ones you can use for anything in a pinch....well since they were having a challenge at Die Cut Diva's I decided to use their April sketch for their challenge and get these done.  I think they turned out nice.  :-)  I decided to enter it into these challenges also....

A Day at the Zoo Paper Piecings

I haven't felt like scrapbooking lately, so I've just been making paper piecing for pictures that I have already developed.  I still need to do a couple of parrots or some other animals but here's what I have so far.  The little zebras came from Too Cute by Jessica and the title came from Cuddly Cute Designs.  So cute!  I don't have many files from Cuddly Cute, but the ones I do are so cute.  I spent the afternoon browsing her site and found several that I love!  So fun.

Print and Cut----Looky looky!

These are my first attempts at print and cut!  To say that I am thrilled is underestimating it!  How fun is this....I wish I could say that they were "faster" but by the time I figured it out and got it to read the registration marks it wasn't any faster, but it WAS a lot of fun!  So glad that they turned out.  I still have some things to figure out....why one car cut out the window and the other didn't but I will figure it out.  Just pleased that I got it to finally work!  Yeah!  Now if my printer just made better prints....have I mentioned that I dislike Epson????  (The photo is enhanced...not true to how they printed sadly....)

Snowman Belly Box

Isn't this little guy cute!  I made 8 of them the other day for the young women that I teach in church.  I plan on making a few more for music teachers, bus drivers, ladies that I go visit each month etc.  I think they will be cute with a little bag of Hershey's kisses.  Fun fun.  This is a My Scrap Chick file and it was so easy to assemble.  Love it.  I have a group of ladies coming over and we are going to mass produce this little guy.  He was my attempt to make sure it would be fun and easy.  Now on to the gingerbread one.

Gingerbread Belly Box

So the snowman belly box that I did the other day from My Scrap Chick turned out so cute and easy to assemble, I decided to make his friend.  I love this one too.  I made 8 snowmen and only 1 of this little guy so far, but I will be making more of them.  So cute and fun!  Hope everyone likes them this year!

Gobble Sign

My sweet hubby built me a ladder for my porch out of scrap wood that was headed to the dump.   LOL.   Well, since it's almost Thanksgiving, I decided to make my "first" item to go on it.  Here's my sign!  LOL.  On the back side, I am going to put "Beware," then it will be good for Halloween and Thanksgiving!  That's a win win.  Can't wait to make me a turkey or something else to hang underneath it.  When I get some hooks, I'll take a picture of it hanging outside!  Can't wait!  This little turkey file came from Too Cute by Jessica.  Isn't he cute.

You Warm My Heart Layouts

You warm my heart layouts.  Love these cute little animals.  What a fun way to showcase some winter photos.  Don't their little hats and the snow just make you want to be inside where it is warm and cozy?  Me too.  This time of year, I just want to curl up by the fire with a good book or hide in my scraproom with a cup of cocoa making cute little files!  LOL.

Holiday Cheer Layout

Seems like I am always behind on Christmas photos.  I try each year to get the previous year done before Christmas and sometimes I make it and sometimes I don't.  I am, however, loving these colors together and these little gingerbread kids are just so adorable.   There were doing a sweets challenge and I thought you don't get any sweeter than these little guys so I decided to join the challenge and make these cute little sweets to go on a page with my sweets.  LOL.  I think they turned out so cute!  Love them!

Family Photos Layout with Turtles

These people are my most favorite people in the whole wide world.  I love my family and am so grateful we got a current photo of all of us together.  What a wonderful blessing.  My heart is full when I think of how blessed I am to have such a wonderful husband and children.  Nothing is as important to me as they are.  So in wanting to keep this photo, I had these little turtles that I just couldn't wait to make.  Aren't these little turtles adorable!  They came from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.  I think they've become a new favorite.  Love the eye shape on them.  So so cute!  Anyway, just catching up on some scrapbooking and joining a "Who am I thankful for?" challenge at the same time.  A double win!

Cowgirl Sun Card

Here's a sun card that I made for a challenge and I decided to add the little cowgirl to it.  She turned out so cute!  What a fun little cowgirl.  My daughter loves her cowboy boots so I just had to have this file.  She is from Precious Piecings and I think she is adorable!

Fall Days 12x12 layout

,

Ok, so I am thankful for an assignment to step out of my box. I signed up to do a 2 page 12x12 layout exchange for my scrapbook retreat and loved it so much I had to make another 12x12 layout.  I just may be hooked.   So since I don't normally do 12x12 I started looking for motivation and came across a few fall and Thanksgiving challenges.  Since it is that time of year, I decided to give it a try.   I love these files and colors and everything about this layout.  The colors are vibrant and fun and will look so fun with the pictures I have of the changing fall colors.  I am so excited to go to retreat and get my other layouts from the exchange and put together my first 12x12 book.  I have TONS of scrapbooks, but NONE 12x12.  This will be my very first one!  LOL.  Oh and these files are all from Miss Kate's Cutables.  I just combined them to make one layout.  One was a title and the other was called fall bird I think.  Anyway, I absolutely LOVE them!  So glad that I purchased these....what a fun page for $1.00 worth of files!

Ok....so my ATG box holder that I made has seen better days.  So I found this wooden box for $.50.  It looked like it was the right size so I grabbed it and brought it home.   Some paint, some paper, and some decoupage and voila..... one cute new ATG gun holder!  Love it!

Sweet 16 Layout

My beautiful daughter turned 16.  Where has the time gone?  Her favorite colors right now are this teal blue, black and white so I made decorations for her party in these colors and followed suite with the same colors on her birthday layout.  So much fun!  Love this sweet girl!

Eek Pumpkin Layout

Love these cute little pumpkins from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.  If you look close, the right picture also has one of these faces cut on vinyl and stuck on a pumpkin.  Now the layout, pictures, and pumpkin all match!  LOL.

Toadally Fun At the Lake Layout

Some layouts are actually more fun to put together than others.  This one was fun.  I found a layout that I loved on Out on a Limb that used the 2 tone green flowers.  For some reason, I really like the look of then in green.  So I started digging through my Miss Kate Cuttables files and found that I had the file Uniquely You and these little flowers were in it.  So I set off to create my own layout using them.  I had made this little frog 3 years ago or so ago for Valentine's Day bookmarks for my kids and so I found him and recut him and made a title to go with it.  I love how this font turned out.  So cute.  The At the Lake title and sun are a Miss Kate Cuttables file that I had left over from another layout.  Overall this was a fun layout to do and I have a ton of these flowers and frogs left over for something else too!   Yeah.

Let's Ride Layout

Our Grandma would have turned 98 this year.  Sadly she passed 3 weeks before her birthday.  These pictures were taken the summer before her 96th birthday.  She has a hard time getting out and about anymore and so we decided to take her for a nice scenic ride.  I'm so glad we went as a trip like this wasn't really possible for her anymore.  We have tried over the years to grab her for a day and take her out and about.  It's always been nice.  It turned out to be a such a nice day.  We even made a pit stop and were able to get huckleberry ice cream along the way home.  She really had a nice time as she doesn't get out much and we enjoyed spending our day as a family with her.  We love and miss you Grandma!

Howdy Shooting Layouts

Ok...so my daughter was given a great big stuffed dog from a former boyfriend.  One day she decided it would be fun to use him for target practice.  Her Dad was thrilled as this was a bad situation all the way around.  So out we went for a shooting party.  Her uncle came over and we all went out to shoot.  I thought it a great time to play with my camera and wasn't disappointed as I caught several shots of stuffing flying everywhere.   That's my kind of shooting.  I did, however, pick up a gun and shoot a couple times with them.  LOL.  Anyway, these are the layouts that I created for my photos.  I have been doing a lot of my project life style of scrapbooking mixed with a front page.  I find it fun to still create the fun first page and quickly document the additional photos this way.   The best of both worlds!  Aren't these little cowgirls cute?  I recently won 3 files from Precious Piecings and this is one I chose because I knew I had these pictures and she would be cute on them.    The guns, fence, and barbed wire are cuts that I got somewhere but have no idea where anymore.  Perfect for this layout too!

Ladybug Box

Here is another set that I got from My Scrap Chick.  I made a couple of these.  This is the ladybug trio set.  It comes with a box, card, and treat topper.  I thought I would give one of these to my secret sister at the retreat filled with goodies.  Isn't it cute.  I am going to give her the card that goes with it also.  Now....what to put in it for her.....  Love how simple it was to put together but how cute it turned out!  That my dear, is a good project!  Simple and cute!

Happy Easter Bear Basket Card

Here's a fun little Easter card I made from KaDoodle Bug Designs cuts.  So cute.  The little bear was originally a brow bear and I just cut him in black.  He makes a cute little black bear too!  The Easter items were from a retired bunny set I got from them a few years ago too!  I like to use different animals than the traditional Easter ones sometimes.  I think this looks very Eastery without a bunny or chick!
