I saw the cutest Christmas scrapbook pages the other day on ebay. (I like to look for fun new ideas there.) They were done with nontraditional Christmas colors....blue, pink, yellow, green, and purple! I rarely think "outside of the box" and I loved them. The person that created the pages said they were done with files from Treasure Box Designs. Now if you follow my blog, you know that I have several sets of her patterns and LOVE them. With that said, I'm done with my Christmas shopping (for myself inluded! LOL...How many of you purchase your own scrapbooking supplies and then hubby gives them to you? I do, since he doesn't know what I "want" for crafting, he just tells me to get it and let him know!) Anyway, I decided to make my own version of this cute layout that I saw....so here are some of the pieces that I have created! I took my penguins that I posted the other day and changed them up to turn them into bluebirds....no cost needed when you modify things you already have! I LOVE MTC for that reason... it allows me to do whatever I want, not just what the catridge does. Anyway, when I get the layout done, I'll show you what I'm going to do with them and how it turns out. In the meantime, I love how these cute little blue birds turned out! If you'd like to purchase her set, go here href="http://www.treasureboxdesigns.com/category_12/2/Whats-New.htm" > and look for her Holiday Tweetie set! And she's having a sale again right now and has 5 new sets that I haven't even seen yet....her prices are always good, but with a sale, you can't beat them! If I'd have known that I probably wouldn't have spent a couple hours making my own! LOL. She's already done the work, I would have saved myself a ton of time. Now I did say my shopping was done right....maybe not! Go take a peak at her amazing files and cute designs.
Cooking with Cricut and Whimsical Designs is having a 2011 in review and asked us to post our favorite project of the year. Since I couldn't pick just one, I decided to pick these two. If I had to choose out of the 2, it would be the top one because this card was made specially for my Mom after we lost my Dad.....which means that along with a favorite project, it has deep meaning for me too which makes it a winner over the other one which was done just for fun. What is your favorite project of the year? If you'd like to join their linking party go here. http://www.cookingwithcricut.com/2011/12/challenge-66-year-in-review.htm

Aren't these little guys cute! I actually made the mice and then used these leftover Christmas cuts from last year. I think I'll have to do some layouts with them just like this....Christmas cuts and all. I love how they look. Do you like the stamped face better or the hand drawn one? That's the only thing I can't decide? Anyone?

here in hopes of winning some more so here are my cute little bees. :-) I couldn't decide which face I liked best, so I tried several. Which one do you like?
Here's how I decided to use some of my monkeys. I'm lovin' the bright colors. I have some pictures of my kids and my friends kids on a walk where they are all acting goofy, making funny faces etc. These pictures look geat on these pages. I know I have pages that I like better than others and I like how these came out! I love it when that happens. :-) I'm entering it into the pile it on challenge "bling it up" here: http://pileitonchallenge.blogspot.com/2011/12/pile-it-on-49-december-month-long.html

Today, my daughter couldn't find her bookmark, so she said "Mom, can you make me a bookmark?" We started with Smurfs and then she said, "I know....how about the Broncos?" I said, "Well, if I can find a logo, I bet I can do that." She was thrilled! When I was done, my son wanted one for the Steelers. LOL. Here's what I came up with real quick on a Sunday afternoon for them! Silly kids!

This year wanting to bring Christ more fully into our home this holiday season, I cut these nativity pieces and asked my kids to put up a piece every time they served someone. These acts of service were called "Gifts for Jesus." The idea was to get the nativity done before Christmas so that we can put the baby Jesus in the nativity Christmas Eve when we read the Christmas story. The kids have done so well, I had to cut a ton more stars (not even shown in this picture) for them to put up. I'm loving this and will have to do it again next year.

Ok....so what do you get a 94 year old Grandma.....LOL....She needed a watch so we got her one of those but..... she doesn't want "things" anymore and if you give her something, she often gives it to someone else because she doesn't want things anymore. So.... one thing that she always asks me to buy for her in town is prunes. So I decided I would buy her some prunes and so I attempted to make them look a little more festive. How did I do? LOL.

Aren't these just adorable! When I saw these this year, I knew that I was going to be making them. They are the perfect gift for teachers, bus drivers, music teachers, neighbors etc. I love how they turned out. I just filled them up, added the cute little cocoa cup, stamped it with Christmas Greetings, and tied it on with a ribbon. Voila..... 10 down about 20 to go! I hope they like them!

Here is another layout I did with left over files. I cut these files this summer when we went on a river rafting trip. The left overs are perfect for a different floating trip that we took. Fun fun. I even had left over paper just enough to make my Floating Fun title out of the same papers. Yeah. Gotta love that! I'm going to enter this into the challenge at DoubleClickConnections and Creative Cutter Room for their animal on it theme and the cuttlebugspot. I think my little bear qualifies nicely for that one! LOL. Don't you think?
Aren't these pears just the cutest! I want to give a huge thanks to Cooking with Cricut for giving us such a super cute freebie today so hurry on over and check out her blog and get this super cute file. While you are there, you'll want to bookmark her or follower her as her blog always has such fun projects on it! Today starts off her 25 days of Christmas......you sould definately go see, grab the freebie and give her some love while you are there! Thanks Melin!
