Picture Changer - Smile, Frog, Rainboots

I LOVE LOVE these picture changer cards.  How absolutely fun is this?  This has got to be a way to make someone smile.  I think I could play with them all day.  So much fun to make and receive.  It was also a fun way to learn to use more stamps.  I have been a scrapbooker for years, but I have only been a stamper for about a month.  Sometimes, it is fun to do something new.  So much fun!

Spring Frogs and Baby Birds Layout

Ok...so here is another adorable layout that I love!  As I was pondering my photos and my leftover cuts, I decided to create a fun spring layout for a couple challenges.  Love being able to use some "leftover" cuts on another layout.  That is why I "do" left over cuts.  If you don't remember, I always cut as many as will fit on the paper that I am using.  That way, I have left over cuts to use as I create new layouts and cards when I need them.  It works for me.  I love this little frog.  He is so cute and the birds in the nest just speaks to my heart.  I am ready for Spring.

Lady Bug Swing Card

I have a friend who is struggling and decided to make a card for her this week.  So in my browsing, I found a couple of fun challenges and thought I'd make her a card using them.  One was use a Little Scraps of Heaven file and one was a kinectic card.  While reading the one challenge, I must admit, I clicked into it just because I wasn't sure what a kinetic card was.  Then when I realized it was one with motion, I decided to make a swing card.   I haven't made one in a long time and they are just a fun interactive card.  I hope it makes her smile!  The little lady bug is a Little Scraps of Heaven Design file.  Isn't he cute.  I have a few of hers that are my absolute favorite and this is one of them.  I love it.  I've made him blue, red, pink and he's just cute no matter what color you cut him.  So fun.  I love being able to use my scraps too,  This card was done using my leftover paper from another project.  It looks good on this card too.

Spring/Easter Baby Birds Layout

Do you ever cut something out just because you thought it was adorable?  I admit, I rarely do.  I tend to only cut and spend time on cuts that I need for a page or a project.  However, I couldn't resist today and this has turned out to be one of my favorite layouts that I have done in a while.  Just because I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE those little birds in the nest.  I thought it would be perfect for Easter.  Lately I've been using a lot of cute little birds and lovin' them.  Not so much into owls like everyone else, but just cute little birds.  For this project, over at Miss Kate's Cuttables, they gave us this little freebie nest with eggs in it and in their buy it section, they came out with a nest with little birds in it.  I fell in love with those little birds and noticed that the shape of the bird was the same as the "It's your special day" bird that I had recently purchased.  So, I cut my little freebie nest that they gave us, added my "It's your special day" birds and then took the branch from another one of their files and voila!  I now have my own little version of their adorable file made with all their adorable files that I already had.   So so cute!  When I cut, I always cut extras - as many as will fit on the paper and so I have some little birdies left which fit  nicely on top and then grabbed some leftover flowers for the top corner and done.   Now I just need some pictures to put on it LOL.  And that is why I rarely do layouts without pictures first!  I'm not to worried because I know I will have some Easter pictures that would love to hang out on soon!  Some projects are just better than others and for me, this is one of those.   Anyway, now I'm off to go play with the left over cuts and see what other layout I can come up with!

Rainy Day Layout

I just love this little layout.  I used a variety of files to create this one.  Miss Kate's Cuttables, Designs on Cloud 9 and various others.  Now if I could just get my silly printer to work I could get the journaling on it and put it in my book.  I bought an Epson printer and I have hated it.  It will not allow me to use refill cartridges which means it's $40 every other month for ink.  UGH.  Anyone have a new printer that will allow you to use refill ink?  I'm ready to get rid of this one and purchase a new one.  Not only is the ink expensive, it also doesn't last very long but it takes FOREVER to print or copy anything.  Thinking I need to go back to an HP printer.  I just thought it would be less expensive to purchase the colors separately instead of an all in one cartridge.  Not so much if I have to replace them all the time.  I really don't do that much printing and it is so frustrating!  UGH.

Bird Treat Bag

Over at AKA Abusybee they were have a challenge to use a button, bow or brad and over at KaDoodleBug Designs and Scrappy Moms Stamps, they were having a challenge to use one of their files for candy.  Then I found a sketch challenge at Die Cutting Diva's so I decided to combine them and this is what I came up with.  A cute little treat bag.  Aren't these little birds so cute.  Not to mention it gave me an excuse to use my twine.  Gotta love that!

Building Memories Layout

 

 

Scrapping Bug Designs offered this cute little bear as a while ago and I loved him so much that I had to play with him today.  He turned out so cute that I decided I needed to make a girl version of him too.  Both wouldn't fit on the layout so I made a peaking girl to go on the top.  I have the world's most amazing husband.  He is truly a Mr. Fix it kind of guy.  Everything from flower beds, to a cabin remodel, to fixing my daughter's hair.  He does it all and never complains.  I am very fortunate to have such an amazing husband and I love him very much.  So I wanted to create this page about all the work he does for our family so that I never forget what a blessing it is to have him as my husband.  I love you honey and thanks for all you do!

Bee Card

I had these cute little bees and decided to put them on these cute little cards.  I think it looks cute.  Inside I can put Will you bee mine, or Happbee birthday, Happbee St. Patricks Day or Just beecause.  I love versatile cards that I can grab when I need one in a hurry.  Fun fun.

Just Keep Swimming Layout

This is what I do while my family watches the super bowl!  LOL.  This layout was so fun.  The title and fish are from Miss Kate's Cuttables.  The little crab is a Little Scraps of Heaven Designs files and I can't remember where the flamingos came from.  All except the title are old cuts left over from past projects.  Love it when I can use my leftovers and have it turn out so cute.  I also am loving getting back into a few challenges to get me motivated to get some photos done!  I'm so behind!

Tea Party Picture Layout

My daughter and I had the opportunity to go to a "Tea Party" and learn about proper etiquette and wear dress up clothes.  It was a lot of fun.  I used a file from KaDoodle Bug Designs  called "Sweet on You Bears" to make this layout and instead of the shake in it, I substituted both girl dolls and a tea pot.   Then I just cut an extra and used it as a peaking bear coming out of the teapot.   Cute little bears aren't they!

Henry's Lake Layout

 

 

Last year we took a Spring vacation and went to to a cabin by Henry's Lake.  It was the end of May and it was still so cold.  Their was ice still on the lake, but that didn't stop the swans and the pelicans from swimming around.  Brrrr.....  The kids did have a great time climbing around on all the rocks and on the docks.  We even saw some big fish jumping and swimming around.  It was still a nice getaway.  Aren't they all????  LOL.

Spring Bear Layout

They are having a scrap lift challenge on the Scraptasitcal Kreations facebook site and I decided to play along. I only have a couple of her freebie files, so I didn't have much to play with....lol. But one of the files I do have is my absolute favorite flower cut. I love daisy's and this one is my favorite of all the hundreds of flowers that I have. So I added a bear file that I already had and her freebie flower and voila.....here is my "lift" for the challenge. Wish me luck. I've had so much fun with banners! I made a Halloween one here and a Valentine's Day one here and decided to make a Spring one. One of the main reasons I love banners is that I can add a pop of decoration to my decor with itty bitty storage space. I don't really have too many decorations for a lot of the holidays because I don't want to store them for the rest of the year. So....banners are a cute fun way to personalize my home for the holiday without much storage space. I also bought a frame to make pages in for the different holidays, but so far have only done the fall one. I hope to get to those again soon. But for now, this Spring banner turned out cute and fun. These cutting files are from everywhere....lol....I couldn't even begin to tell you where some of the images came from. LOL. These are leftover cuts from other projects but together make a really cute banner! Love it!

Beary Loved Layout

 

I just love these little bears! Aren't they adorable. On this layout I have 2 6x4 pictures-one of my hubby and I and one of the kids on Easter morning. They look so adorable on this layout. (Someone said it was distracting for me to put shapes on my families pictures to hide their faces, so I just left them off this time so you can see the layout without the photos on it.  I try to remember that but I'm a scrapper way before I'm a blogger!  LOL.) Anyway, isn't this a fun springy layout. One of my favorite flowers is the daisy.  I'm hoping for warmer weather soon so I couldn't resist some springy flowers to go with our Easter pictures.
