Wedding Tile

Here is a tile I created for my friend's daughter who just got married.  If I remember correctly, this monogram font and modifications of it are found on the Make-the Cut forum.  Just search the forum for Regal font.  Some wonderful people have cleaned these up and made them "monogram" friendly.  Thanks to all those that did that!  :-)

Ok...so I'm still behind on these. I actually had some cut and ran out of tile and had to go get more tile before I could finish them! One is actually going to be on time and the other one is late, but.....better late than never right???? I still thing the bride and groom will like it! I sure hope so anyway! I tried to use the K from the Regal font, but....it was a terrible mess and so I stole parts and pieces from the others to try to make something similar. I don't like it as well but.....the bride and groom won't know that right? My hubby says it looks just fine and that I'm over thinking it. Do any of you do that? I just want it to be a "nice" gift and he says I worry to much and that they will love it. I hope he's right!

Faith makes things possible tile

I saw this saying on a sign in a store and loved it. Unfortunately, the colors on the sign didn't go well with my decor so.... I recreated it to place it on a tile. Then I decided I needed a birthday gift for my friend and that I should give it to her so I sat it upstairs to give to my friend and my mom came over and loved it and wanted to know if I'd make one for her. So I sent this one home with my mom and now I need to make another one for my friend and probably one for me too. I really like how the dragonflies and the butterfly turned out on this project. Super fun, easy, cute with a good message to boot! Love that!

Santa and Snowman Tile

Hello! Tonight I have been working on this Santa and Snowman Tile. I'm still doing the challenges over at the MTC board and this one is for the miscellaneous gift....a gift you would give to a male/female at the last minute when you needed an extra one. I think it turned out really cute.

Activity Day Tile

For our activity day with the 10 and 11 year old girls, I made these "Did you think to pray?" tiles to put in their bedrooms. Hopefully it will be a good reminder to them and help them develop the habit to pray. We did these on small 6x6 tiles. I liked them so much I made another one for my son's bedroom. :-)

Cabin Tile

I was just playing around today and decided to make a new tile. I think this turned out nice. I couldn't find a frame that was actually 2 squares .... how strange huh.... and you can't weld two squares together in SCAL to make a frame if you are going to weld something else to it so..... All in all though, I don't mind the scalloped edge. It looks nice and gives it more of a substantial feel.

Winter Tiles

Ok...here are a couple more....I decided to try my hand at actually creating a tile file from all the SVG's that I've been collecting. I think it turned out cute! I struggled trying to get some snowflakes and the penguin to weld to the "frame" and with the help of Kay on the message board, I figured out what needed to be done to do what I wanted. Unfortunately, I was running out of time so I just cut them as is. I like it. My husband likes the multi colored one. I can't decide.....which do you like?

Wise Men Tile

Ok...so I have redone this again. I cut it once in a thinner font and the "weight" wasn't right on the tile. Then I cut the original file that I found and wasn't crazy about that font either. So today, I decided to try one more time. I LIKE this one. So this is the file that I'm saving to make more when I get a chance. I'm about out of black vinyl so I'm going to have to find some of it. There wasn't as much black in my lucky stash as other colors, but thankfully, black will be the easiest color to find. :-) What do you think....is this one better?

Nativity Tile

Ok...so I'm having too much fun playing. Here is a nativity scene that I just had to try on a tile too! I think it looks great also. I did clean it up a bit for easier cutting.....I took out some of the little details that made weeding it easier. I'm LOVING this vinyl business! Fun fun...

Welcome Moose Tile

I am so excited. I came across this image that lindamac shared on the craftedge forumn. It was perfect as part of my brother's Christmas gift. I was so excited. I think it turned out wonderful and can't wait to give it to them. I'm going to make one for us too and my hubby has even said he'd try to drill holes in mine. I've heard that it's easy to break them so we'll see how that goes...... In the meantime, I really like this one and I think my brother and his wife will too!

Christmas Tile

Here is another one...I haven't figured out "how" to post multiple images on one post but......I don't really like the font on this one so I'm going to try another one and do it in red for Christmas colors too so we'll see how that one turns out.

Christmas Tile....

Ok....so here is one of the projects that I just had to try with all my new found vinyl. I found this file free somewhere a while ago and just loved it. Doesn't it look amazing! I did this one in burgandy to match my living room, but I did another two in red to give as a gift. They turned out amazing and were super easy. The secret is to cut small chunks off your vinyl as you weed so that what you have weeded doesn't stick to what you are trying to keep. After messing up on the first one, the next 3 of these were a piece of cake. My husband said he really liked them and wanted to know if I'd make him some to give to his Home Teaching families. See...even husbands can eventually see "why" a stack of vinyl in their family room is a good thing!
