Birthday Card
I've been running low on birthday cards lately, so I decided to make another one. I'm loving this little cupcake image. Unfortunately, the blog that I got it from, Southernbelle, is not longer there....sorry! Anyway, I followed a sketch here: http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2011/01/mojo-monday-175.html I'm loving her weekly challenges. I think this is my third one. It's a fun blog with lots of talented projects. You should jump on over and see all the fun things!

Birthday Card
Here is a cute birthday card that I did for the http://cookingwithcricut.blogspot.com/2011/01/challenge-15-peachy-keen-sponsor.html and the Pink Stamper's Blog "make something super yummy challenge" http://www.mypinkstamper.com/2011/01/imagine-pink-wednesday.html. At Cooking With Cricut, this is actually two challenges in one because if you do a birthday theme, you are entered into a drawing for some Peachy Keen Stamps and as you know, I got my first set of these stamps yesterday so I was excited to use them again! I love them so far and know that I'm going to need some more so I was excited to see her give away because I get to use my new stamps and have the chance to win some more. It's a win win! Plus, if I followed her sketch, then I also have the chance of winning a cute little birthday set of files from her! Fun fun. So....this is what I made this morning. I was going to give you the link for this little cupcake from Southernbelle's blog, but when I tried to go there, it said the blog had been removed! Darn it! And to think that it's a file that I actually KNOW where it came from! LOL. Anyway, sorry about that! Did you notice my winking cupcake AND a happy birthday stamp. Wow...two in one project! Something tells me you will be seeing more stamps in my future!

Halloween Layout
Hello....over at Fantabulous Cricut, http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/2011/01/challenge-me-monday-44.html, they were doing a challenge to use a cartridge you haven't used for a while. So....here is a layout I did using my paper dolls cartridge. I rarely make paper dolls, but this cartridge used to be the one I pulled out to do everything and was almost one I didn't buy because all it showed on the box was paper dolls. It should have shown all the extras which is where the worth of this cartridge is in my oppinion. It has some really cute images on it! Anyway, I think this page turned out really fun.

Penguin Card
I am super excited! I got my FIRST set of Peachy Keen Stamps today and had to give them a try. So I jumped over to the Peachy Keen Stamps site for ideas and they were having a sketch challenge in monocromatic colors or black and white. Since I HAD to use these stamps tonight, I set out making this cute little penguin card following their sketch and of course using my new stamps. I think these stamps are going to be so much fun! The cricut is great, but most of the time faces don't cut well and have to be hand drawn. With these stamps, it's just a "stamp" away! How fun is that! If you want to enter this challenge, jump on over to http://peachykeenstampschallenge.blogspot.com/2011/01/peachy-keen-stamps-sketch-challenge-44.html and give it a shot! Maybe Peachy Keen will make me a stamper yet! LOL. Now I need some of those cute sayings stamps that the designers are creating....hmmm.....
Ok...so the more I looked at my card, the more I thought it needed "something" else so .... I dug through my stash and found these cute little black flowers and the perfect little buttons to say "hi." Now I think it looks done! You can see the before and after. It just needed that little extra bling...what do you think! LOL.

Stylish Blog Award
So....since I've already thanked Candice, I guess I should list 8 things about myself...
1. My pop of choice is Caffine Free Diet Mountain Dew. My husband calls it double unleaded and wants to know why I even bother! LOL.
2. My husband is my knight in shining armour. On the night we met, my best friend and I were in a car accident. My husband stopped, took me to a phone (before cell phones obviously), and stayed with me till the police arrived and the ambulance came and hauled me and my best friend to the hospital. That was over 20 years ago and I still thank my Heavenly Father for him each and every day!
3. My favorite color is hot pink.
4. I've always wanted to go to Europe and hope to with my hubby someday!
5. I am a stay at home Mom and LOVE it! I thought I'd get bored, what was I thinking!
6. I've never really gotten into stamping! Gasp....I know...I've just recently started to remedy that and my first set of Peachy Keen Stamps are on their way.
7. I have a whole bookcase full of scrapbook binders...yep...that's about 3 four inch binders a year for the last 12 or 13 years. My first scrapbook was done while I was dating my hubby and that was WAY before any of the cool things came out that we have now. I hand drew all of my own embelishments....I was scrapbooking before the world caught up to me! LOL.
8. I love to read just as much as I love to scrapbook!
Now to pick 8 blogs to share this award with...this is going to be the hard part because I have seen so many wonderful blogs that people share their beautiful creations on and they are all so gifted that's it's going to be hard to choose only eight! Congratulations and thanks so much for all your inspiration that helps me be a better crafter!

Cupcake Birthday Card
Here is another card I did for some challenges... http://cardztv.blogspot.com/2011/01/cupcake-challenge.html. This challenge asked us to use a cupcake. I love this blog for all of her super cute card ideas! Then on Fantabulous Cricut, http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/2011/01/challenge-me-monday-43.html, their challenge was to use something sweet. And here, http://stampchallenges.blogspot.com/, they challenged us to stamp something sweet. Since I'm not much of a stamper, I just stamped the Happy Happy Birthday along the bottom. (Stamps are not my strong feature, I need to get some clear stamps because I can never get it "straight" and it always bugs me. LOL. That's why you see very few stamped images on my projects. I see all these amazing projects that people do with stamps, but I've never had success with them. I need to take a stamping class and buy some copics and then maybe I'd get better at it! LOL. I did just however order some Peachy Keen face stamps and I'm excited to give them a try and I've been eyeing a few sets of cute animal sentiments from a couple of designers like the Pink Stamper too. Here's to hoping my newly ordered Peachy Keen stamps work great!) It's kinda hard to see but I used stickles on my cupcake and it provides just the right amount of sparkle.
http://paperplaytime.blogspot.com/2011/01/ch-35-anything-party-related.html Their challenge was anything party related. http://kaboodledoodles.blogspot.com/2011/01/challenge-51-bling-it-up.html Their challenge as bling it up... add glitter or something to your project. http://www.mypinkstamper.com/2011/01/its-my-birthday-challenge-and-giveaways.html Anything birthday related as it's her birthday! Happy Birthday Robyn!
On my reader, I found a challenge at http://www.imaginisceblog.com/ that wanted us to use pink, blue and yellow, but now that I go to their blog I can't find the post on that....strange....one of their designers I follow posted about it and it shows up on her blog but it doesn't show up on the actual site hosting the challenge.... oddly enough, it happened to me TWICE as another designer wanted us to use a punch on their challenge but again when I followed the blog from the designer to the site, it wasn't listed there. Is it a full moon out or what???? LOL. I guess I won't be entering those afterall. Lesson learned, make sure I actually follow to the hosting blog BEFORE I include them in my project. That's ok....it was fun to make the card anyway. :-)

Love ya card
Ok...so here's one more today. Over at http://paperplaytime.blogspot.com/2011/01/ch-34-use-word-love-on-your-project.html they are having a challenge to use the word "love" on your project. Since I needed a card for a family member, I decided to not do a Valentine's Day Card, but to do a love ya card instead. This little bear was fun to create and I love the simplicity of this card. Sometimes....less is more....
Snowman Card
Ok...over on the Make the Cut forum, they were starting a challenge to start your Christmas cards for next year and then I found a challenge to make a card with a snowman so I combined the two and came up with this. I don't know if I'll get the 10 of them done that Make the Cut wanted, but I at least have 1 done for next year! LOL. Then snowman is actually a TeddyBear Treasures cut from when I was testing cutting some designs for her. I just finally finished him off and I love the glitter and cute little flower on his hat!

Thank you bear card
Ok...so that google reader is getting me again! LOL. I LOVE it! Anyway, as I was going through it yesterday, I came across 3 more challenges and thought I'd give them a try. I needed to make a Thank You card for Amanda at http://amandascraftsandmore.blogspot.com/ to say Thank You for the awesome blog candy that she sent me. Thank you Amanada! That was so sweet of you to do all those giveaways. I really appreciate it! I won a Martha Stewart star stamp all over the page punch. It's the first blog candy that I have EVER won AND received! LOL. So in my attempt for a thank you card, I created this card for her based on these challenges. The first challenge was to use only browns and one other color hense the brown and pink theme....the second was to use a princess cut hense the cute little crown on the bear....and the third was to use three flowers. I LOVE this card and think it turned out so cute! I may make a bunch of them to have on hand for birthday, thank you etc. It was fun so wish me luck!

Snow Day Layout
Ok....I finished my housework today and decided to go to google reader and look at all the fun things that people have created on their blogs that I follow. I LOVE google reader! What did we ever do to follow all those blogs before it? LOL....Anyway, while I was doing that, I found a couple more challenges listed and decided to get off the compter and create something. One theme was anything winter at http://www.scrapbookaholicbyabby.com/2011/01/pink-by-design-challenge-its-cold.html and the other was a reminder that today was the last day to enter the glittermania challenge at http://www.cookingwithcricut.com/. So....here's what I came up with. The white strip in the middle is exactly the same size as the photos that I will be attaching to this layout. I have some cute pictures of my kids playing in the snow and my son building a snowman that look perfect on this layout. Iused a bear from www.TreasureBoxDesigns.com and the title is a freebie from www.svgcuts.com. To satisfy the requirements for the challenges, I used a glitter striped paper on the bottom and top of my pages. It's hard to see but it's from a DCWV glitter stack that I got for Christmas. For the winter theme, I used the snowman and snow border and title of course! LOL. Now I just need to get this posted so that I can link to it!

Winter Layout
Ok...over at the Fantabulous Cricut blog, they are doing another challenge. This challenge was to use anything outdoor winter clothing related....hat, scarf, mittens, etc. I chose to use these cute little mittens and was dying to try this Winter title that I had collected somewhere. The border on the bottom was made by repeating a snowflake and then just welding it to a rectangle to make the perfect border and you all know I LOVE penguins so......here's my layout for the challenge. This is from a snowmobiling trip that we took last winter....yes I know....I said last winter.....better late than never. I don't even have this winters pictures developed yet.....it keeps me from feeling 2 years behind if I only have one year of photos! LOL.....Anyway, I like how the page has lots of fun winter elements, but still has room for four 4 x5 photos! If you would like to see what's happening at Fantabulous Cricut...here's the link to their blog and challenge. http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2011-01-13T06%3A00%3A00-07%3A00
I also received a tip from Linda about this challenge....not sure how I missed this one since I follow this blog as well, but....anyway, I am also entering it in the "Created for the Getting Cricky Challenge" http://kandrewdesigns.blogspot.com/2011/01/getting-cricky-with-memory-miser.html. Her challenge required a bird on it which my cute little penguin qualifies for so..... :-) Thanks for the tip Linda!
And last but not least, I also decided to enter this into the challenge at Made by Momo http://madebymomo.blogspot.com/ because of the winter theme. I think the snowflake border fits that theme pretty well. I really like these blogs and their challenges. I'm fairly new to this whole challenge thing and have only recently enter a couple, but I've found it's fun, gives me a new direction to focus on my pages and has me searching for cuts I may not have used otherwise....I usually scrapbook around my pages, but it's been fun to take their challenge and make it work for my books and photos....a new approach for me and I'm enjoying it! So thanks ladies for hosting these challenges. It's fun to look at my scrapbooking another way. I appreciate the time and effort it takes to do these. Thank you!

Blog Candy
Looky what she is giving away this time! Living in an area that has a TON of snow, this would be such a fun cartridge to have. I've also heard that the 3d boxes on this cart are really cute. Here's to hoping! If you want to take a peak yourself, jump on over to her blog at http://kandrewdesigns.blogspot.com/2011/01/1200-follower-giveaway-winter-cartridge.html for a chance to win. Good luck!

Sledding Dog Card
I found these fun challenges over at http://madebymomo.blogspot.com/ , http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/2011/01/challenge-me-monday-41.html, http://cookingwithcricut.blogspot.com/2011/01/1st-challenge-of-2011-new-dt.html and another one over at http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ and decided to enter. The theme was anything snow related and instead of using the usual snowman, I decided to create this cute little puppy wearing a scarf and then using a sled and snowflakes in the background. It turned out kinda fun! I liked how the dog turned out. Fun fun. The second challenge was to use an older cartridge (Joys of the Season) and to use a heart somewhere on your project so....I combined the two and this is what I came up with. I've never partricipated in any of these blogs or their challenges before, but I follow the one and the others one I found when a person I follow posted their project for this challenge so.....I thought I'd enter. So here's my entry. What do you think?

Aquarium Scrapbook Pages
I didn't do a lot of scrapbooking over the holidays....mainly just spent time with my family, but on New Year's Eve while we were watching TV, I made these cute little embelishments to go on some pages that I needed to get done. We took our kids to an aquarium this summer on our vacation and it was a lot of fun. Ok....let's see if I can remember where all of these files came from..... the leopard shark, jellyfish, and black and white ray came from http://www.scrappydew.com/ (I refererred several of my friends to them to purchase MTC before I became an affiliate and as a thank you, she sent me the same files my friends received for purchasing so I could teach them how to use them with the same files they were using! Wasn't that super sweet! Thanks again!) I don't know where the octopus came from ...sorry... The seahorse came from Mary as a free file, but she doesn't share files anymore so.....it won't do my any good to give you a link to that one. Oh.... and the blue ray came from a LD (Lettering Delights http://www.letteringdelights.com/) set but I didn't like his face so I changed it up some. So....there you go if you are interested in any of these files.
I am also entering these pages into the Paper Playtime challenge (http://paperplaytime.blogspot.com/2011/01/ch-32-happy-new-year-welcome-to-new.html)in hopes of winning some Peachy Keen stamps! I've had my eye on these for a little while but as I'm not much of a stamper wasn't sure what to use them for, but lately, I've seen them used on EVERYTHING. I'm hoping to win some of these and give them a try myself. The other day, I saw a site that had faces on a pea pod, a sunshine, and even a string bean and they were ADORABLE. Here's to hoping I can win. Jump on over to Paper Playtime for some fun inspiration. It's a wonderful site and one of the few that I actually follow regularly! LOL. Enjoy.
More pictures of aquarium
Apparently, you can only post 4 pictures to a post because it wouldn't let me post all of these in one post! LOL. Anyway, here are the others. I listed in the above post where the files came from that I know of. Enjoy!
Sledding Snowmen
These were so cute! Over the holidays, my mom was wearing a turtleneck that had these cute little snowmen on them. I thought they were adorable and so cute to put on a sledding page of my kids sledding this year....so I took some pictures of my mom's shirt, and then zoomed in on the image I wanted, cropped it out, saved it, imported it into my word program, copied it to the clipboard, and then pasted it into MTC and traced it for one cute scrapbook page element. LOL. I don't know why, but I couldn't copy and paste directly from my photo editing program so as you can see, I had to take the long route, but I think they turned out cute anyway! I think I'm going to do a snowhill down the side of the page with these little guys sledding next to pictures of my kids sledding. Fun fun....Anyway, I thought they were cute! So if you were wondering what I did with the pictures of your shirt mom.....here you go! LOL.
